Great sequel

Our Machiavellian MC gets more Machiavellian but still listens to his humane side. More character development and slowly revives his kingdom bit by bit while undermining his enemies from the shadows. I can't wait for more.

Yeah, it's worth your time and money

I always keep my head on a swivel for anything new and entertaining. I remember the first book fondly and I'm glad to say the second is the improvement that I was hoping for. To be clear, I think that any sequel should be everything that made the first one great and then some. The narrator was new to me from the first go around. She did just as good a job this time too. I'm interested in what else this author has to offer, and I look forward to future performances by the lady narrator. Lastly, I'm just going to say thank you to everybody who had a hand in bringing this book to us the audible listeners.

Freaking awesome second book!

Freaking awesome continuation of the series. The first one was great but this one is awesome. Loved seeing all these characters again and can’t wait to read more. Keep up the excellent work!

Another good story from M. E. Thorne

Dark Lord's Commands continues to be a great series from Mr. Thorne. Thorne's other series I Don't Want To Be The Hero is one of my favourite series and this one also delivers. I really enjoy the characters and the world and book 2 only helps to expand the world and further develop the characters. Renée Nolen continues to do a great job narrating this series breathing new life into the story. I enjoyed book 2 and can't wait for book 3.

Book Two was even better then book 1

this gets better and better with each book. Character development and new characters just keep making want to listen more and more

Im enjoying it.

An interesting and intriguing story that keeps you entertained. Not a huge fan of the narrator (perhaps spoiled by dual narration) but it was a good addition nonetheless.

Another awesome installment in an excellent series

I very much enjoyed listening to this book, and am excited about the next installment! Hopefully, it will be soon. ;)

2nd book is twice as good!

Great continuation of the story. We are finally getting some real meat and potatoes in the plot line. The narrator needs a bit more seasoning but overall a good job.

Amazing series.

I think this 2nd installment is progressing better than the 1st. Great world building, strong characters. Thorns’s writing style is pretty damn good.
Renee is quickly becoming my favorite narrator.
