Even better!

Loved it. Was sceptic of a different narrator but she did a great job, went to add next book to my library and saw a third narrator is preforming the next, but as she is a well known narrator I'm just as excited. Elizabeth has some humor in this one and Cage and Jones together had me laughing like a loon. Extremely excited about next in series.

That was not What I was expecting! What a wonderful wild ride that was! Must read White Silence before this book.
Anyone familiar with Jodi Taylor knows that her imagination can be a bit out there! I love her stories! The chronicles of St. Mary's is one of my favorite series. Now I will add Elizabeth Cage to that. This series is #paranormal #quirky and #suspenseful. It had a different narrator from the first book but she was good too! I think she made Elizabeth sound older. Highly recommend!! #Tagsgiving #Sweepstakes

Great, mind bending stuff. Jodi Taylor's imagination is fantastic and frightening. Another engrossing flight of fancy.

Unique story

I love this series and hope the great work continues. I can’t wait to buy the third in the series. The narrator is also excellent and a great fit for the book.

I have to wait another year!! Ugh

I'm so so disappointed I rushed through this book. Now I have to wait one to two years for the. Ext one!! This was even better than White Silence! And what happens to Iblis?!? Don't leave me hanging!!

Very entertaining!

Ms. Taylor is one of my all time favorite authors! But it is because she brings true life to her characters! Whether they are traveling through time or interacting with creatures from another reality, her characters have depth. This book was great in so many ways. I love the "other worldliness" mixed with the everyday reality of Elizabeth Cages existence. Another winner if you ask me!

Ms Taylor, you have done it again! You have made me wait several times for the next St Mary's book and now you have me waiting for the next Elizabeth Cage book! You certainly know how to tell a story!

Enjoyed It

I found this title to be very interesting and entertaining. The characters and the story kept me totally captivated. I look forward to more books in this series.

I've listened to the entire Saint Mary's series and just finished Book 2 of the Elizabeth Cage series.

A break from reality

I enjoy Jodi Taylor's books, and have listened to all of the St. Mary's series. I am glad I started this new series. This book has little to do with reality, and I read to get away for just a bit. I like the characters and the setting a lot and I never knew where the story was going - by turns, it can be calm home life, with a bit scary, a little funny, or a lot dangerous. The only little thing that bothered me was the change in readers. It did take a while to get used to a different voice, but I finally accepted it. I do get whiny when different readers are used for a series, but that is just my preference to stay with a good thing. When there is a good reader for a character, and then it changes to someone different, it takes me out of the story for a while until I get used to the change. I did like the calmer presentation of the first reader more, and even considered buying the Kindle edition instead, but listening turned out OK. I told you I get whiny when a series changes readers.
