Fantastic book, amazing storytelling

Great characters and exciting story. Loved it! If you like the Witcher series you’ll love this book!

Tough Love

This is an intriguing fast pasted love drama. Where their demons don't play so well together. That's just the start.

Simple but nice and refreshing

I stumbled upon Elisabeth Wheatley's funny videos and it made me buy the book. I was not disappointed at all :) It is a bit simple story, borderline YA, but I enjoyed it very much and I will definitely buy the next books in the series. I like the characters, the story is interesting enough and maybe some surprises are waiting in the next books :)

Great book and great reading!

I loved this book. I'm looking forward to starting the next one in the series! I love the detail put into the voicing of the different characters and the consistency of the production quality the whole way throughout.

Compelling

I thought I couldn't become immersed in a story anymore, but this book proved me entirely wrong. Amira and Daindreth had me completely obsessed from start to finish. Already starting the second book, with the 3rd in my queue.

Complex, yet uplifting fantasy...

I had a great time with this book, and the unique twists that Elisabeth Wheatley put into her work. You can just feel the care and research she put into this project, and I appreciated every line. Within the world-building, there was so much depth in the culture building, and generating an atmosphere that you can feel. Her writing style was easy to become immersed in, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much this world felt lived in. I love stories where it feels like I learned something, and this book has that in spades. This book made me laugh, made me ponder, and hit my soul in the most unexpected ways. The story is grounded in reality with fantastical elements mixed in. If you want something short, sweet, and uplifting then I recommend you give this story a try.

I finished this book in just a few long sittings, it kept me engaged right up until the end.

Well Written

I'm not normally a romance reader, I enjoy westerns, but this book changed my mind. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series, and I might branch out if there are more like this.

Good story, terrible narration

The story was good. A little predictable but enjoyable. I couldn’t stand the narration. Clearly the author couldn’t afford to hire a narrator since she narrated it herself. She had zero emotion when reading. One would think narrating your own book you’d have a better grasp on the emotions your characters are expressing, but one would be wrong.

Wonderful world building

I enjoyed the visual descriptions of the world and development of characters. I am excited to start the next book but also nervous to finish the existing books too soon. I guess I will be rereading many times while waiting for more.
