Why was I surprised? Mull is a solid author.
This review stands for the first two in the series as well but this one has been the funnest so far. I'm 31 and love fantasy. Many say it's hard to go back to children's fantasy after getting into adult fantasy fiction. Maybe I'm an odd one or maybe Brandon Mull is just that good, but I enjoy his stories as much as my favorite adult authors like Sanderson and Butcher.
As far as the audio performance, great. It took a long while to warm up to the audio reader for his fablehaven series but this one was instantly good. Nice work all around. Highly recommended.
