Loved Crazy, Wicked Love

Another great story in this series by Melissa Foster. I loved Gunner and Sidney’s relationship, their friendship turning into romantic love as well as the love they had for their pet animals. Ava Erickson and Jacob Morgan were terrific narrating this book and I loved their performances.

I love Melissa's books because even though they touch on some difficult subjects, they are still relatively low angst/drama and still full of good feels. This was another in her MC series. I consider these MC-lite as they aren't dark and gritty and violent (I do love those as well), but instead more of a "we take care of our own" club. Sid and Gunny were such a good fit and so flippin cute. The narration is wonderful. Jacob and Ava are great together and bring a very similar energy to their performances which makes them a great pair to listen to.

Wicked Good

First of all narration Jacob and Ava are absolute perfection! I think these 2 could make listening to washing machine manual being read sound fabulous! Love!
The story is so sweet of military best friends into lovers. I usually get pretty frustrated with this trope. This one is done very well! Sid & Gunner are so romantic with their gestures they don’t even realize.
Definitely worth a credit great listen great story!

Sid had an objective turned mission turned more

Sid had hoped that when Gunner Wicked asked her to move in with him and help out at the animal rescue that things would lead to more. Now, some years later and they are still in the same holding pattern. They may walk/roam the house in their underwear, but nothing has happened beyond simple friendship. Sid feels she needs to do something and soon or she will have to walk away. Gunner loved his best friend. He would do anything for her. That includes help her seduce his player cousin. Gunner begins to see things a little clearer. He wants Sid for himself, but he seems to get in his own way at time. The two find each other finally at equal points but Sid is beginning to feel bad about the way things came to be. She decides to come clean and that is what changes what they have.

I always love returning to Bayside. I love return to Melissa Foster and the stories she create. I love even more falling back into the Wickeds and the Dark Knights. They felt like more than family. The had bonds deeper than blood and stronger than steel. Gunner and Sid's trek to love was no different. I loved watching and Gunner work to help Sid catch the man he thinks she wants. He has not clue this was just a mission Sid felt she had to undertaken to get him to notice her. She has loved him for years. He just sees her as another friend or worse just one of the guys. This was a friends-to-lover with a lot of work and fun along the way

Ava and Jacob bring the Wickeds of Bayside to life. Give them all that additional personality with their voices. You can feel the characters come to life. Make a connections to the characters. Excellent performance.

Best friends to lovers ever!

Sidney Carver painted herself into a corner: she fell in love with her best friend and roommate, Dwayne 'Gunner' Wicked. They met in the military and have gone through hell together. She was there for him when his sister died of an accidental overdose and he was there for her when she was injured on a mission. Now they work together at their dream job, Wicked Animal Rescue, and live under the same roof. But Gunner sees her a buddy, a "cute guy". She's had it! It's time for Operation Get The Man and she comes up with a plan to make him finally notice her, where he will be the wingman when she tries to learn to flirt and lure "his cousin". 

Now wait a minute! Why is he now feeling these weird and proprietary feelings? Well, because he's always wanted Sid in his arms (and hopefully in his bed) from the moment they met. Those feeling were shoved deep inside because he'd never jeopardize their perfect friendship and lose the most important person in his life. But she just changed the rules of the game... Let's play!

OMG, scrape me from the floor because I have turned into a pile of gooey, warm and fuzzy feelings. This sweet and steamy friends to lovers romance is pure Melissa gold! Definitely a standalone, but you also get to see the Wickeds, hear a bit about the Whiskeys and attend Tank and Leah's wedding. My heart just melted. 

It's not all fluff and sweetness - Melissa always tackles hard subjects, so be prepared to have your heart broken a little too, with mistreated animals and prodigal children. However,  also in true Melissa fashion, she puts you back together.

Good addition to this series

This was a great friends to lovers read that Ms. Foster does a great job of creating. This addition to the Dark Knights Bayside series is no exception either. In this book we get Gunner and Sidney's story and what a great read it was. '

Gunner and Sidney are friends while serving in the military and that friendship continued once they were out of the service as well. The pair open a dog rescue together once their time in the service ends - one through retirement and one through injured discharge. Their friendship continues until Sidney decides that she wants to be seen as more than just a friend and takes measures to be seen by Gunner as more.

Gunner who always looked at Sidney as his friend goes on one roller coaster ride of emotions when he realizes that he wants more. The banter between the pair is fun and the chemistry once they give into it is off the charts.

The narration that was performed by Jacob Morgan and Ava Erikson was performed well. This pair of narrators do a great job bringing the stories that they read to life and truly make them an enjoyable listening experience.

This was a great read and a great addition to this series. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous series and I look forward to seeing what is to come in the future for this series. Overall, I recommend this book to others.

Friends to lovers

What a great story of two people who are best friends, roommates and working partners and they finally maneuver to be each others ride or die person. Sidney and Gunner have been in dangerous situations, have been there in the tough times but Sid wants more. She loves Dwayne "Gunner" Wicked but he only sees her a a buddy and friend, not as a woman so she must do what she has to in order to get his attention or she must move on from his life. Gunner loves Sid but he has never wanted to risk what they have on the chance of something more. When he thinks he may loose her to another man he finally opens his eyes to what's been there all along.

Love these characters and this entire family. This was a really good story and I enjoyed it and recommend it.

Ava Erikson and Jacob Morgan were great to listen to. They brought what was needed for Sid and Gunner.

Best friends equal forever love

Can best friends become forever in love? Dwayne “Gunnar” and Sidney have been best friends ever since meeting while in the military. But what happens when one friend develops feelings and the other continues to not notice the other? All kinds of shenanigans happen, that's what. So much happens in this story, not only with Gunnar and Sidney but with the rest of the family. Tank and Leah get married!! I just love large extended families that always have unconditional love for anyone they consider family blood or not. Plenty of heat between the sheets and awesome character development. Completely in love with this series and especially Sid and Gunnar. Totally recommend Crazy, Wicked Love by Melissa Foster. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. *****

EXCELLENT READ!

This was an excellent read. The relationship (friends to lovers) between Sid and Gunner makes you impatient to find out what is going to happen next. The narration was excellent and kept me entertained. The author did an excellent job with the character builds and plot. I can't wait to read the next book! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
