Just when I think I have things figured out

the story takes a left turn, and I’m left trying to see where it has gone now. Excellent writing, kept me guessing up to just about the end.

Narrator brings great life to the characters & McBride does it best! Logan.. You cant help but fall in love with him!

Great Scottish Mystery

This was the first Stuart MacBride I’d read or listened to. What a great surprise! “Cold Granite” is the first of the Logan McCrae series; it’s dark, with considerable violence, but also sometimes very funny. The narrator is spot-on, capturing both the characters & the mood of the story. I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of this series.

Really, really, really good

Having finished the series, I'm going back to the 1st book to say how much I've enjoyed the journey. Also, Steve Worsley is the perfect performer -- he makes it come alive.

Good

I love crime dramas and this was very good. I felt nauseous throughout most of the book due to the gruesome details of them digging through the roadkill sheds…. I wish I loved Logan a bit more but he’s hard to connect to.
