Resumen del Editor

A skeleton with a bullet in its skull. A natural disaster. Relationship problems with not one, but two women in his life. What else could possibly go wrong for Port Stirling Police Chief Matt Horning?

Woken by the ‘Big One’, an earthquake at his Oregon beach-front home, things would only get worse from there for Matt Horning. Would the monster tsunami claim his life and ruin Port Stirling forever?

As if Mother Nature exploding on the rugged Oregon coast wasn’t enough, a decades-old skeleton is unearthed, and its mysterious murder leads to difficult questions. Who was the victim, and why was the body placed here? Is it hiding an ugly story from Oregon’s history?

Kay Jennings' third novel in A Port Stirling Mystery series takes readers to the rugged, remote Oregon coast, and looks at contemporary problems along with an historical mystery.

Includes a special note from the author.

Far fetched

Slow story and boring love other two much better I liked the way she always included a sample of next book in the series at the end - Alas not this time not sure I’m interested anyways

Great

Tsunami part very well and interestingly researched. Native American customs in Murder Mystery interesting too but went on too long and were redundant. Loved the relationship issues w Matt and Fern. Will still be hooked on that as long as it doesn’t get silly.

Not the best

I really enjoyed the first two books. This one, not so much. You can skip the first 16 chapters unless you want to hear repeatedly that there was an earthquake and tsunami. The murder mystery was pretty lame. I only stuck around till the end to see what happens with Matt and Fern. I will probably still listen to the fourth book.

Painful

Painful. Utility services back with in a week of an earthquake - with huge aftershocks- so profound that it changes the course of a river across a range of mountains from it?
The biggest thing for the city police to focus time and attention on is a 120+ year old murder?
I don’t think so.
At least we found out where Matt’s money came from.
We forgive the narrator his occasional mispronunciation.
