good investment

This book is very helpful, it has great tips. I love it. Only thing is its a little confusing with the way its read. You don't know who's speaking at times, is it Clark or is it a letter from the book..

Good Info but redundant

Any additional comments?

This was a good book but if you listen to Clark radio show then you will already know most of his tips. I am a regular listener and knew most of this already but still learned a few things. It is worth a listen.

Want to Save Money? Go Bitch

When I got this book I was hoping for tips on buying smarter. The book mostly contains websites, which are hard to catch when you're listening in the car, and who knows if these sites will even be around in the next year or two?!

The other thing that got me was how often Clark's suggestion to save money is to call into such-and-such company's customer service and bitch and moan until they give you a deal. As someone who works in customer service, Clark Howard makes my life a little slice of hell. So, thanks for that.

If you want to know more about spending your money smarter, I recommend Suze Ormen's books. Don't buy this audio book. In order to reference the many many websites he wants you to check out you'll want the physical (or digital) book.

Not too good

What was most disappointing about the authors’s story?

I listened to the first hour and was totally unimpressed. I skipped forward a few chapters, in case the book had a slow start, but ended up shutting it off. I did not finish the book.

It basically advises buying the CHEAPEST crap available. Not finding good values, but literally dumpster diving, buying off brand foods, clipping coupons, etc.... It even went as far as suggesting going out of the country for cheap surgeries!

You dont need to read a book to know buying cheap will save money.....what is doesnt mention is you will get what you pay for.

Unless you make minimum wage, i think this book is a waste of money. I have a TOTALLY different philosophy as the author, i prefer to buy value.......not cheap. There is a difference.
