Great Fun Read

The series stays fresh & fun with great story line, great characters, and some historic authenticity. Kate Forbes gives each character personality & depth. Can't wait for my next credit so I can get the next book.

Production issues

Whoever edited this audio recording needs to look for new work. The pauses do not make any sense. There will sometimes be pauses in between sentences that are so long you think the scene has changed and in other places when the scene really does change, there is no pause at all. It was hard to follow the story sometimes because of the editing. The story itself and the writing is perfectly fine but if you want a good audio book, this may not be the one for you.

Enjoyable listen about a way to get back at someone who used greed to trap a blackmailer at their own game.
Characters were relatable and came to life from the story pages.
Narration was amazing.
Accidentally started with book 2 of this Series.
Just started book one.

Good book about blackmailing and how to catch them at there own game of Murder and blackmailing

Great story that kept me guessing!

Loved this book and also the first in the series. The use of con artist jargon was a bit weird, though.

A rollercoaster ride.

This was equal parts love stories and murder mystery. The murder mystery was less who done it and more how do we prove it. There's a wonderful cast of characters.

Topic too disgusting

Disgusting topic. Couldn’t finish it once I realized what the main topic was going to be.
