so cool but left me wondering

Solid little set up giving us a great peak into Midnight kids pre-leaving. left me with a ton of question.

Kind of left me wondering if I missed something like somehow its someone we know who is in the silver car, like did i miss something and its jake or was the cousin trying to get with jake.... cute story but i am going to relisten to the first book to see if it was a background scene that foretold something more important.

Or could Danielle be setting us up for a teen spin off (that would be cool a way to write the group in a different genre like teen scary, coming of age, it would be cool to see teen versions reactions. To gain all the bonus vforeshadowing knowledge and fill in some of those questions we all have about what all went down and why/what she did in those early years .

To maybe be able to have that bridge to introduce a younger crowd into the books giving a chance for multi generation book groups etc)

As usual though the writing clarity and depth of the storyline with great even for such a short story which goes to show just how talented of a writer Danielle is.
I have listened and or read every book she currently has out not once have I been let down or had to give up part way through!!!

Cute seasonal story

A fun, light, seasonal 1 hour story that takes place the past (high school) compared to the rest of the series.

simple easy to listen to

I love her style and ofcourse Amanda Ronconi Reading is always a pleasure. the series is easy to listen to. each wraps up and leaves you eager for the next.

Super cute

A favorite writer and my absolute favorite voice actor. This is entertaining and gives a bit of Autumn in the heat of summer!

Cute Halloween story - shorter than I expected

I guess if I’m paying for a book I expect it to be book-length, or even novella length. This wasn’t quite 2 hours so I was disappointed at the abrupt ending.

That said, it was cute! I was super confused why the story opens with the youngest sister being a child and still having her pony at the house. I thought I had missed some important info, lol! Nope just a blast from the past!
Maybe this could have been considered book .5 or book .25? That would clear things up.


Looking forward to hearing more about Ella’s next chapter in helping look for some magic stones…
