Enchanting!

This is an enchanting story of a concert pianist who's recovering from the shame of a horrible public performance by visiting the town where she grew up, now home to her elderly aunt. Noelle Wentworth is back in Snowing Rock, running from a disastrous New York concert and divorce from her abusive husband. She's going to help her aunt out at the candle shop she owns, all while practicing the piano for a comeback. Gabe Winters is a local hero, Hollywood stuntman who has always been in love with Noelle. When they were young, she a freshman and Gabe a senior, she watched as he was bullied by some of his classmates and came to his aid. She broke up the fight but gave them all a piece of her mind. Gabe was so grateful and he's been in love with her ever since. He was a scrawny kid, but she became the impetus of his desire to become a better and healthier person. When there's a bus accident, resulting in some injured passengers, Gabe is there to save them and get them to the hospital. Noelle looks at him and is certain that she knows him from someplace. Once she realizes who he is and how she knew him, it gets harder for her to push him away. She just doesn't think she is cut out for love, judging by the destructive words her ex left her with. But Gabe doesn't give up and he's going to do everything possible to get her to trust him. It's such a beautiful story, infused with Christmas magic and the charm of a man who has made so much of himself. With a number of false starts and some misunderstandings, they finally have their chance at love and life together.
The narration is very well done by Liz Baechel. Her dynamic, well-modulated voice brings each of the characters to life.

Will Noelle Ever Trust Again?

Noelle has lost her confidence due to her ex-husband's treatment of her. I too had an ex like that so I completely understood how she felt.

Cabe has always loved Noelle but never felt he was good enough for her. How do they meet again and what happens between them?

Can she trust Cabe enough to learn to love him or will she run from trust and love again.?

I highly recommend this book to you and I know you will enjoy it as much as I have. Get it and read or listen to it yourself so you can find out everything that goes on in this exceptional story.

A Wonderful Christmas Romance

Such a heartwarming and wonderful Christmas story with great characters. It captures you from the first chapter until the last! The narrator does an excellent job with the voices and speed.

A good book to listen to

Listening to this book was really nice. This story takes you through many emotions. I love when art, in any form, makes me really feel something.

Would you listen to Candleglow and Mistletoe again? Why?

I would listen to this sweet story again. It was nice to see Noelle learn to trust again. Learning to face and overcome fears is a good lesson. The handsome hero wasn't bad either.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Candleglow and Mistletoe?

There were many memorable moments in this story. I liked when Noelle stood up to her ex-husband. I also liked Noelle's return to Snowing Rock. I can't say too much without spoilers.

Which character – as performed by Liz Baechel – was your favorite?

Noelle was my favorite performance. If I were reading the book, I think I would have found her a bit self-centered. Liz Beachel made Noelle seem more self-protective and gave her a more compassionate feel.

I loved that the characters were complex, very real people with real issues that needed to be worked through.

Candleglow and Mistletoe was a great read by Josie Riviera. Noelle Wentworth leaves St. Augustine to fill in at her aunt's candle shop while her aunt is recovering. She hopes this time will help her get past her memory lapse that ruined an important piano concert. It also ended her marriage to her overbearing duet partner. While riding on a bus, they slide off an icy mountain road. Gabe Waters is a professional stuntman who is usually prepared for anything. Noelle was his unattainable high school crush who's bravery saved him from a bully's fist. She doesn't recognize him but Gabe will always remember her. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

I always enjoy Christmas books, and this one didn’t disappoint. I like that they knew each other in the past, and they had to learn to trust again! Clean romance. Highly recommend! The narration was great!

Great story

I really enjoyed listening to this story. In this story Noelle is so hard on herself , she was upset when her concert didn't go right. So she went to go and help her aunt at her candle shop. On the way there she met Gabe, which she didn't remember from high school, and they started to care about each other. Noelle was a pianist, and Gabe was a professional stuntman. Their past will get in the way with the kindled relationship. Couldn't stop listening until finished. Highly recommend. You will enjoy.
