I love the narrator, she does an awesome job of bring the characters to life. These are fun brain candy. I love listening to them when traveling.

Great characters

I Love the easy listening and getting to know the characters more in each book.

Bows and Arrows

Mae receives the key to the city and a six week stint teaching at the high school. While celebrating the find the archery coach dead. Mae takes his class and Hank gives her permission to snoop.

The characters live in a trailer park. A clean forested park.

I feel as though I’m a guest among the park residents who haven’t the modern phony attitudes. Down to earth older for the most part ladies. A comfy place where a murder or two are becoming normal. In a town called Normal.

Super Fun Light Mysteries!!!!

This is a really cute, quirky, sometimes silly cozy mystery series. I’ve just finished the first two book sets and am starting on the third, books 7 - 9. The individual books range in length from 3 1/2 to 5 3/4 hours. If you don’t mind starting with the second book in the series it’s free on Audible plus. Although there is progression in the relationships and I prefer reading a series in order these books are for the most part standalone and background is filled in so no matter where you begin you should not feel lost.
Mae West was married to a man who unbeknownst her was running a Ponzi scheme. He was caught, sent to prison and her world came tumbling down. The only thing solely in her name was a dilapidated campground in Normal, KY. It’s a far cry from NYC but it’s hers. With plans to fix it up and sell it, the town and people grow on her and become the family she’s never had.
Johanna Parker does a superb job narrating. Her southern accent is perfect for the part.
This series is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for a light series and a few good laughs.
