I loved Pierce

I loved how patient and understanding Pierce was...and consistent in his presence and determined not to give up a chance with Zara even though she had built her walls so high. Zara's self-esteem and confidence needed a boost and Pierce was perfect for the job. Narration was great from Kit Swann and Aiden Snow.

A story of forgiveness and falling in love!

Zara has been burned. Her ex she can get over, but her family's unwillingness to see her point of view is crushing. The very people who should love unconditionally offer no support for her. Pierce is intrigued by Zara, but she's lumped all men into the same category as her ex. Faith and trust are hard for her to extend to anyone. I liked how Zara and Pierce became friends first. They built their relationship from the ground up and established the trust Zara needed to move to the next level. I loved how Pierce stood up for Zara and showed her how to stand up for herself. Forgiveness was tough for Zara, but eventually she was able to forge a better relationship with her family, especially her mother. I loved how protective Pierce was of Zara! They were really a perfect match.

Kit Swann and Aiden Snow were the perfect narrators for Zara and Pierce. They gave personality to the characters and brought the story to life!

Story of healing

Burned is yet another great story following the men of Cunningham Security while they find their significant other!! Zara is new in town after a traumatic experience with her former fiancé and issues with her family. This girl is so strong rebuilding her life, but is understandably insecure on a personal level. Pierce is such a sweet and patient man who is helping her find her belief in herself again and see herself the way he sees her - amazing and beautiful and worthy of love. Kit and Aiden did an amazing job with their narration as always!!

Pierce is an amazing character. He helps Zara deal and overcome some painful situations in her life.

Another great story. I felt Pierce was perfect for Zara. He helps her realize how strong she actually is. If you like to listen to your books this one was enjoyable.

Audiobook Burned by A. K Evans is narrated by Kit Swann and Aiden Snow, whose reading brings emotional clarity to the listener by making the book come alive. I loved this book, and listening to it was a true pleasure.
Burned (Cunningham Security Series Book 5) by A. K. Evans is about Pierce, a member of Cunningham Security who helps the local police solve cases, and Zara, a Flower shop owner who recently relocated to Wyoming. Zara first meets Pierce when he interviews her after she calls in a fire at the town's hardware store close to her flower shop. Pierce drops in to buy flowers for his sister and asks Zara for a date. Zara said she would go, but not until after the Mother's Day rush. Zara decides to go hiking to get healthy, where she meets Pierce and his Husky named Blaze on the trail. A friendship begins and grows more as time goes by. Zara agonizes about feeling inferior about herself and her body image based on her ex-boyfriend's view of her. With an arsonist setting fires to local businesses, Pierce is kept busy with the case and trying to move out of the friend zone to become Zara's boyfriend. When Zara loses a childhood friend and needs to return home, Pierce sees an opening and offers to fly back with her, so she won't be alone. Pierce is a genuine cinnamon roll guy on the inside but a true protector who has Zara's back when she needs him to be there for her. With Pierce rebuilding Zara's self-image, they begin to fall out of the friend zone into their relationship's love and romance era. A. K. Evan's Burned is a double entendre with "burned" representing being emotionally singed. In contrast, suspense builds throughout the book in dealing with catching an unhinged arsonist. A.K. Evans's books are all writing at the finest.

Still my favorite

This has got to be my favorite so far.. it hits home.. loves the story of woman that gets back up after so many knockdowns to finally find happiness, live and support.. And the narrators did a great job!

Pierce Helps Zara Overcome Being Burned

After being burned by not only her cheating fiance, but her family also, Zara moves to Wyoming and opens a flower shop where she meets Pierce who wastes no time finding out why Zara has such a poor view of not only her body, but her life. In an amazingly crafted story, A.K. Evans weaves a beautiful story you just can't put down.

Aiden and Kitt nail this narration, from the emotional tonnes to Aiden giving Pierce a deliciously deep voice, it is a listening pleasure.

Pierce is EVERYTHING Zara deserves!

After being burned by family & a cheating boyfriend, Zara moves away to rebuild her life. Her confidence & self-worth is shattered. When she meets Pierce, she thinks there's no way she could be worthy of a man like him. Pierce is immediately attracted to Zara, but doesn't know the struggle it will be to win her heart. Can he help her overcome all the hurt and realize she is worthy of so much more than life has given her?

Meanwhile, Pierce is dealing with a string of arson cases in town. Businesses are being burned back to back with little clue as to who is setting the fires. Can they find the person responsible before it's too late?

This book is the BEST mix of romance and suspense. Pierce's determination to prove to Zara how beautiful she is and how much more she deserves than what she's been given in the past is so heartwarming! The love he has for her is unmatched. I like how to end left me excited for the next couple in this series!

The narrators did a great job portraying the emotions of each character. I do feel like other narrators I've listened to in past books were better overall, but these two kept my attention and did well for these characters.

A beautiful story of unconditional love healing

Zara picked her life up and moved to another state after being burned by her family and cheating fiancé. Her self love and confidence were at an all time low when she met Pierce. Even though there's an instant attraction on both sides, Zara is determined to not form any close connections because she thinks she is not worthy. They form a close friendship and start spending more time together. Pierce is determined to make Zara see how beautiful she is on the inside and outside. Pierce is investigating fires that are destroying the businesses in their town and they grow even closer as he feels a deep desire to protect Zara and her business. She slowly starts to open up to Pierce about the betrayal her family put her through and what happened with her ex fiancé and this makes Pierce even more determined to protect the woman he's grown to love. When mommy dearest and then the ex fiancé show up, Pierce goes into Alpha mode and has his woman's back. This makes Zara realize (and blurt out) that she loves him and the chemistry between them explodes. This is a beautiful story about the unconditional love of the right partner helping put back together pieces that they didn't break. Zara finally gets the HEA she never saw for herself. Aiden Snow has the perfect voice for what I picture Pierce to be - the perfect Alpha male and book boyfriend. I also enjoyed Kit Swan as Zara. Another great addition to The Cunningham Security Series.
