Gunner and Sage Reunite

Gunner feels sorry for himself and see the girl he let get away when he was in high school giving the weather report. He waits outside the studio for her and they reunite, both having regretted the one who got away. In a beautiful story that wraps up the men of Cunningham Security, Gunner and Sage navigate through an unexpected pregnancy and someone who doesn't like Sage being an unwed mother. Both narrators did an excellent job on this book. Troy knocked the emotional scenes out of the park as his voice tones brought me to tears. Well Done!

All the feels.

One of my favorites.. Love it when there is a history between the two leads.. and for Gunner and Sage to just get together so quick.. the suspense in this one had me biting my nails.. and as always who couldn’t just listen to Troy and Maxine..

Whirlwind romance

This story takes the whole whirlwind romance of most romance novels to the extreme. When these two, who both secretly harbored a crush for the other in high school, see other in person again they hit mach speed with their relationship. The old adage "when you know you know" seems to encompass them, but they don't completely dodge some angst as an unexpected surprise tilts their world. But they're meant to be so it is happy news and as they continue to build their strong bond everything seems to be falling into place perfectly... but of course they shouldn't get too comfortable because of course Cunningham Security will need to come to the rescue...and what an harrowing experience that event turns out to be. Wow, talk about making your heart stop for these characters. Shew...but it all works out in the end as the narrators bring the story from the pages to your ears.

Wonderful addition to the series

I have enjoyed all the previous audiobooks in this series, and this one did not disappoint.
Gunner Hayes is the last of the single members of Cunningham Security. He is ready to settle down but has yet to find THE ONE. That is , until he’s home watching the news and someone from his past is the weather person. In HS, he had a crush on Sage Thompson until she left suddenly when her father was transferred. Without thinking twice he gets in his car and waits for her to leave the studio in the middle of the night.
Imagine Sage’s surprise to find the boy, now man, she never forgot and whom she had a crushed on.
The one idyllic night leaves a surprise. Will Gunner be happy or will he turn his back to her? If they get together, will they get their HEA, or will someone threaten their new life?
This was a wonderful addition to the series and an almost conclusion to the series. Can’t wait to listen to the next and last audiobook coming soon.

Love revives

Gunner Hayes didn't waste any time when he ran into Sage Thompson. He had a crush on her in high school, but she moved away. So when he sees her in town after all these years, he shoots his shot. After they spent one night together, Sage is gone on assignment as a meteorologist. It only took one night for him to fall for her. Things went a little fast for me with these two, but I guess if you know you know. A little angst would have been the icing on the cake. LOL Troy Duran and Maxine Mitchell voiced these characters so well. Their talent made this insta-love HEA a great listen!

Cunningham series

I love the Cunningham Security series. In this one you meet Gunner and Sage. I’m glad they got their second chance. I have also listened to this story and enjoyed it.

Gunner & Sage ended up exactly where they belonged

Gunner and Sage had mutual crushes on each other in high school but neither acted on it. Years later, when their paths cross again, those feelings come back fast and strong. After sharing a streamy night of passion, Sage flys away for work - into a dangerous situation. Gunner is going out of his mind with worry when he can't reach Sage and realizes he needs her in his life forever. After making it through a storm, Sage is scared again when something happens that will alter her future, as well as Gunners forever. Back in each others arms, Gunner and Sage are exactly where they're supposed to be - and decide building a future together is what they both want. Tragedy strikes again just when everything is going perfect and Gunner fears his life will never be the same without his girls. Gunner becomes the hero to Sage and their future and they get the HEA they waited so long for.

Oh wow, Troy Duran is perfect for how I would picture Gunner! Troy brings his characters to life unlike anyone else and Maxine Mitchell, I love listening to her in her character roles! This was a perfect ending to all the guys in the Cunningham Security!

Gunner wondered if he would find the type of love all of his teammates found, the soul crushing love that brings each one of the guys to their knees. Nope, not going to happen or he thought until he saw someone, he went to high school with on the TV screen!
Sage runs into an old high school friend leaving the news station after her shift ended. Gunner, the guy she crushed on through high school and never forgot about!
Both giving in to the desires that they avoided in school, they did keep things casual but when Sage comes back from a work trip, they have so much to talk about.

High-school crushes get a second chance

Last, but definitely not least, Gunner gets his book. Nothing better than high school crushes finally getting their chance at love.
Gunner and Sage both had a crush on each other in high school, but never let it be known. After a move puts distance between them for many years, Gunner sees Sage and knows he can’t walk away again without sharing his feelings for her. One night is all it took for their lives to be changed forever!
Gunners childhood struggles were heartbreaking, but he was determined to let it shape his future for the better and break the cycle. He is everything!!
Just when you think things couldn’t get better for them, it could all get ripped away.
I read this book a couple years ago, but listened to it as an audio this time. I have to say, the narrators knocked it out of the park! I was so wrapped up in this one I could hardly pause it. At the time I read it, it was the final book to the Cunningham series. Now there is a 10th book which I also HIGHLY recommend reading next to catch up with the whole Cunningham crew years later. This will always be one of my favorite series of all time.
