A story of second chances

A story full of second chances, proving to these characters it is never too late to make things right. Trent and Delaney were meant to be, it was just a long road full of trials and tribulations to get the opportunity for a second chance. It would seem fate had a hand as it kept them crossing paths until Delaney could explain and ask for forgiveness. Trent is a sweetheart with a baby and wastes no time getting the love of his life back once the secrets that separated them are revealed. Narration by Aaron Shedlock and Vanessa Edwin bring the characters to life.

Trent and Delaney dated in high school and one day, she ended things brutally. Fifteen years later, Trent saves a baby's life and the mother visits him to thank him personally. It was Delaney. As both feel unworthy of the other, they struggle with their feelings for each other. Delaney's soon to be ex-husband is causing issues and a lawyer is trying to contact her about her estranged father as the couple keep getting thrown together.

This narrator team was awesome! Vanessa Edwin was so good with using emotional tones and her growly Trent was hot. Aaron Shedlock was no slouch and he brought Trent to life.

Beautiful second chance story!

I am a sucker for single parent romances. Add in second chances and I'm a goner. Delaney and Trent belonged together, but her father's dislike of Trent made her break things off to protect Trent. Fast forward several years. Delaney is a single mother to Tate, working as a tile layer, and trying her hardest to make ends meet. Meeting up with Trent again brings back all kinds of memories for both of them. He may have saved her son's life, but Trent wants nothing to do with her. Vanessa Edwin and Aaron Shedlock brought Delaney and Trent's story to life. I could feel Trent's turmoil through Aaron's voice. I could feel Delaney's remorse for the things she did to break up with Trent back in high school. These narrators give the story the personality and emotions it needs to be relatable and realistic.

A wonderful addition to the series

In this latest addition to the series , the author delivers another touching story. This time it belongs to Cunningham Security operative Trent Michaels and his former high school sweetheart, Delaney Rogers.
These two met in HS and fell in love. But he was from the wrong side of the tracks and when forced by her father, Delaney turned her back on him.
Neither ever forgot the other. When they meet again by chance almost sixteen years later, the hurt on Trent’s side and Delaney’s regrets resurface. As does the attraction.
In the midst of everything, Delaney is determined to keep her little boy, Tate, safe as she battles to get a divorce from her husband.
Will these two be able to overcome the obstacles and find love and happiness a second time?
This was another wonderful addition to the series.
Both Aaron Shedlock and Vanessa Edwin did a great job with the narrations in this audiobook.

Wonderful

What a wonderful read. I am usually all about suspense but Unworthy was just so good. I didn’t miss the suspense. I cried through almost the whole story. I’m so glad I discovered this author. The audible version narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Vanessa Edwin is just as good as the ebook.

Love always deserves a second chance

This book is one of my favorites.. Delaney and Trent have a history, but they were able to overcome the past and be worthy of love.. I love that it is on audible so I don’t get so caught up in reading I don’t get things done (I have done it in the past).

Second chance for high school love!

Trent and Delaney are fantastic additions to the Cunningham Security love stories! I love how A.K. Evans starts the story by taking you back to high school when they were together so you can get the full experience of their past. The struggle for Trent and Delaney once they reconnect will be to ensure history doesn’t repeat itself! Then to find there are more second chances than just theirs by the end of the story is even better. The narrators are fantastic and truly bring life to these characters! Although these are standalone stories, the tie ins to the entire Cunningham Security series is better if read in order.

First love worth fighting for!

Trent and Delaney's young love was the purest, truest love. After a tragic event that changed their lives, they try their best to move on. Sometimes, first love never dies. Sometimes, first loves get a second chance! This one is the best second chance love story, EVER! I loved it the first time I read it and I fell even more in love with it this time on audio. It tugged at my heart in such a deep, personal way. Seeing Trent and Delaney get their second chance and a happily ever after healed my soul on the deepest level. Seeing how Trent treats Tate was just the icing on the cake.

Aaron Shedlock as Trent Michaels...YES PLEASE!!!

Oh my heart! The sixth installment of the Cunningham Security series by AK Evans focuses on a couple's second chance at love. It is at turns heart-wrenching and heartwarming. Trent Michaels is intelligent, driven, and incredibly sexy, and Delaney Rogers is the one that got away - a beautiful single mom determined to provide for her young son and praying for the opportunity to make things right. When an emergency situation throws them back together after 15 agonizing years, the sparks fly in more ways than one. Now, I can say with absolute certainty that Trent Michaels is one of my all-time favorite AK Evans heroes. And as a self-proclaimed Evans ambassador, that's saying something. As such, I've read this book roughly 10 times in the last couple of years, but even that did not prepare me for the absolutely phenomenal audiobook performance by narrators Aaron Shedlock (one of my FAVES) and Vanessa Edwin. In fact, I was so enthralled that I listened to the entire story in one sitting. No regrets whatsoever. I giggled, I "awwwed," I sniffled, I cried. Worth every second of it! So very special, Ms. Evans!

Jax & Sophie are the second chance romance we need

Jax and Sophie meant and fell in love in high school only to be torn apart by her unreasonable father. She broke his heart and hers when she lied to him about her feelings and told him he was unworthy of her and would never amount to anything.
As adults they cross paths again when she shows up to thank him for saving her son's life. He's still harboring hard feelings from the past and wants no part of her telling him what happened all those years ago. After 16 years of knowing she let the love of her life go and regretting it every day, Sohie is determined to get her man back. Once Jax opens his heart to forgiveness, and they both admit they never stopped loving each other, the sparks begin to fly and there's no going back.
Jax was the best man she knew back in high school and is even better than she could've imagined as an adult He has her back through the trouble with her ex and reuniting with her father. The forgiveness Jax shows her father was beautiful and the fact they all lived happily after after as a true family was the best ending ever. Unworthy was hands down one of my favorite second chance love stories ever.
