Bully King

This is a MM bully romance. I suggest some to check the trigger warnings. Roman is the star quarterback in the south. Jonah and his family are new in town. Jonah’s father is the new pastor. The town is very southern and religious. They do not take kindly to gays. This book was a little hard to get into. I felt like Roman should have had to work harder for Jonah’s love and forgiveness. Tim Paige and Liam Di Cosimo did a great job narrating this book.

That was…. Interesting. The story was a little all over the place but the narrators did great.

Wowzers

This was such a wonderful story. I will say that everyone should read the trigger warnings. That being said, once you really get to know Jonah and Roman and how their love builds each other up, you really feel for them. You’ll laugh, cry, and root for them the whole book! Please listen to it. The narrators do such an amazing jobs bringing these characters to life. And the author is a master. So, again, read this book. You’ll regret it if you don’t. :)

I wanted more!!!

There are definitely some HARD triggers in the story line, so buyer beware!
I don’t generally buy into the “happily ever after” fairy tale…..but honestly, after everything Jonah and Roman went through….I just wasn’t ready for their story to end!

Emotional Rollercoaster

I am a sucker for a bully romance. I loved how toxic their relationship was in places and the way it progressed! I loved almost everything about this book!

Good book Great Narrators!

I read this book and i love it so the audiobook with Tim amd Liam is a no brainer and i wasn't disappointed both Narrators are top notch !

Wow

It was emotional and sometimes hard to read. But with so much true! I love how Roman and Jonah fall in love and try their best to hiding their feelings. It was a really good listen. The performance were really great.

I wish I listened to this sooner.

This book was just so so very good. I cannot get it out of my head and it has been days since I finished it.

Riveting

One of the best books I’ve read/listened to this year. Violence &triggers, but fantastic.

dark bully romance

Jonah can't quit Roman. And I can't either.

I'm not sure what is with all the negative reviews, so I read them and they don't seem to understand what a bully romance is. We aren't supposed to like the guy, but still kinda root for these two. And then, of course, he is redeemed and there's a HEA. And this book has all that.

It's super emotional and super triggering. Roman suffers terrible physical abuse at home. Jonah has religious conflict that causes great suffering to him, as well as extreme bullying at school. There is dub con, suicidal ideation, homophobia to the extreme, gay bashing, domestic violence...just about everything you can imagine. And these boys are minors throughout.

Did I like this book? Yeah I loved it. It gave me the feels. My heart broke for Jonah and Roman both. Was it a perfect book? No. Not many books are perfect.

The audio was damn near perfect though. Tim Paige and Liam Dicosimo were absolutely amazing and made the emotions bleed through the speakers. Outstanding.
