Resumen del Editor

On September 5, 2015, in a public park in LaVergne, Tennessee, 14-year-old Sherokee Harriman drove a kitchen knife into her stomach as other teens watched in horror. Despite attempts to save her, the girl died, and the coroner ruled it a "suicide". But was it? Or was it a crime perpetuated by other teens who had bullied her?

Sherokee's short life and tragic death created a national media and social media frenzy, much of it centered on sensationalism rather than the truth. Meanwhile in LaVergne, the community sought answers to questions about who, if anyone, should be held criminally responsible for "bullying".

Award-winning author and criminologist Judith A. Yates peels back the layers of sensational news coverage surrounding a girl's death, and in context with national interest in the phenomenon of Internet bullying tries to answer the question of whether Sherokee Harriman was Bullied to Death.

Prepare to be disappointed and underwhelmed...

This is by far, the absolute worst narrator I have heard yet. The WORST. Lousy at reading the story, portraying the characters (absolutely no personality, style, just dull and almost monotone). I am glad this was a free book, because no one should waste a credit for this audio book. Such a shame, because this young lady deserves to have her story told in the most memorable and helpful way possible. I cant even finish listening to it. Never again will I listen to an audio book with this narrator.

More Stories need to be told like this.

The tragic death of Sherokee Harriman reveals the miscarriage of justice that is our schools handling of bullying. The fact these programs teach you to “stand up for yourself” yet punish you when you do. Keep Sherokee memory alive and fight this system.

Very dull and bad a presentation

This was very disappointing.

The author didn’t manage to drag me into this case. The book was very dull.

The entire presentation of the book absolutely didn’t feel serious due to the narrator. Therefore I stopped listening, continuing would just be a waste of time.

Parents perspective

Sad story and very repetitive. No help offered if you are looking how to help your child through bullying. This girl had a tough family life compounded by bullies that led to her accident/suicide. Sounds like her mother/grandmother are now bullying other children which is horrifically sad. Though the author did a good job on researching the story, I would not recommend this book to anybody.
