I always love Chelle stories. Bonus to have Samantha and Connor narrate. Lia and Leo have an incredible journey of friendship. Looking forward to more in the series.

Cute, but not her best work---4 stars

I am a fan of Chelle Bliss. This story was a continuation of the first book, Broken Sparrow, which I recommend you read first. Leo was immediately attracted to Lia, the estranged daughter of an MC president. In Borken Sparrow, Leo invites Lia to share his home on the premise it has plenty of room for her. The plot is complicated by his absent, druggie brother, Lia's once estranged father and Lia's attraction to a bails bondsman. Leo is also prospecting for said MC. My problem with the story line is that she is supposedly secretly in love with her room-mate with benefits while decidedly considering hooking up with the bondsman. I did not find the love story believable. However it was a fun listen and as I stated earlier I am a fan of this author. The performance was stellar and enhanced my listening experience.

Great story and narration

We met both Lia Dove and Leo Hawk in Broken Sparrow and I was excited to see what Chelle Bliss had in story for this couple. This friends to lovers story ticked all the boxes for me with characters you cannot help but fall for and a story that will draw you in and keep you hooked from the first chapter to the last.

What a heartwarming and at times emotional story this was. The connection between roommates Leo and Lia is strong and their chemistry is off the charts. Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor brought Leo and Lia to life for me. Their voices are easy to listen to and they certainly did justice to Ms. Bliss’s wonderful characters. Their narration was just right for these characters and they drew me in and kept my attention with their performances.

However what happens when his past comes back to haunt him and danger rear’s it’s head? Will he be able to protect Lia? All Leo has ever wanted is to belong to something and with the MC,as a prospect, he really feels as though he has found what has always been missing. Lia, daughter of the MC president Tiny was a wonderful character.

This was a well written, fast paced story with characters that are engaging and easy to relate to. I cannot wait for the next book in the series. One click this little gem, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Broken Dove is book 2 in the series and can absolutely be read as a stand-alone.

I am a HUGE fan of this author and I think the narrators interpretation of her words was spot on.

The story has the classic elements of a good romance. Lia and Leo have great chemistry and they are both dealing with family issues that at times are heartbreaking.

There was an unexpected emotion. The cadence was pretty nuanced and made for an enjoyable listen.

I listened at 1.45x and give this 5 stars.

This book will not disappoint you!

So if you read Broken Sparrow then you meet Lia & Leo and you felt the connection and heat between the 2 of them. If you haven't no worries because this is a separate standalone book and you get all the heat and connections between them and more. This book has suspence humor, angst and of course romance! It has it all and you won't want to stop listening or put the book down either!

Freaking amazing

What a wild fun ride. Love Leo and Lia. Love that they started as roommates and ended up being so much more. Loved the close connection everyone had to each other. Could not wait to see where the story was going. A must read.

Wonderful story with amazing narration

AUDIO REVIEW
The EBook was wonderful but Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmore took this story to another level with their marvellous narration. This is hard yeti say because I loved reading this book but for me the audio was better if that was possible.
We meet Lia Dove and Leo Hawk in the first book in this series Broken Sparrow and I was excited when I heard they were getting their own story. That being said I do believe you could read Broken Dove as a stand-alone although I’m sure once you meet Lia and Leo you will want more from the other characters in their journey. A friends to lovers, emotional journey that has all the feels so this book will appeal to all romance lovers. Lia and Leo are roommates but they are also friends and they will do what ever is needed to protect each other so will Leo be able to protect Lia when his past comes back to haunt him and how will Lia’s father, Tiny the MC President react to the bond this couple share. All Leo ever wanted was a family so has he risked it all by crossing the line…… This is a beautifully written, entertaining yet emotional love story, it has wonderful characters and it’s the perfect addition to the Open Road Series. Ms Bliss has once again given us a wonderful read that will stay with me long after reading the final words.
