Her journey takes her to the high plains of Tibet, and even to a shadowy, watery otherworld, a place she both yearns and fears to go.

High Hopes That Left Me Feeling Cheated

I had read about this book in the LA Times and had high expectations. It was interesting and engaging with complex characters and interweaving plots, but it ended so suddenly I thought it was an error. I felt like I had wasted my time reading it. I really don't understand how the book could have ended when it did. I'll be returning it for a return credit.
