Invested

Loved that the story was them. It didn’t take long or that it was short it was just right. Steamy. But great open back and forth with the truth and it didn’t have any hidden secrets to long.

Great love story

The characters in this book were great. They were well portrayed and well developed. This was a great series. The voices were great as well. I love how he fought to get back together with her and did what he needed to do putting aside his own ego or pride. And what a great surprise that he brought with him.

Heartfelt Story-great narration

I like Rebecca Yarros writings, so decided I would read the first book of this shorter 2 part duet. There are emotions shared, impossible relationships, crazy family members, and all that is needed for an enjoyable, well-written story. Sometimes the angst felt by the two main characters was difficult and made me want to get into the conversations!

I was able to enjoy the man and woman’s duet version free through my Audible membership, but both expire in a few hours. So for part of my reads, I increased the speed to be sure I could finish both in time. I do think in regards of cost, that both books could have been included as one novel for 1 credit. I would be less likely to use a full credit for a five hour title.

The narrators were perfect

I loved this series it was amazing I loved it. I listened to it back to back and do not regret it. The narrators voices were perfect and I love the story!

Loved this story

i really enjoyed this story and how it ended. It's dual narration and both VAs did such a good job. JF Harding's voice is so freaking swoony. This is one of those series I'd re-listen to just for comfort.

Good Finish

This one picks up nine months later and we have Ikner full of regrets and Langley still heartbroken. I did appreciate that the getting back together was not overly drawn out but it also wasn't instantly fixed. again I do wish there was a little more developments with the families and I feel like after all the build up the ending was glossed over and rushed. Narration was again done well.

Happy ending

Looooved this book too! So glad Langley and Iker got their happily ever after! Melted my heart.

Great wrap up

This was good and I really enjoyed it. Some of it was very predictable but I am a sucker for romance and happy endings. The male narrator was awesome but the female narrator was a bit off on her emotions and sounded like she was just reading it. Definitely worth the read

Highly recommended this Duet

I usually don’t like this type of series or cliffhangers in general, this set was very different.

For one thing, Book1 doesn’t end abruptly in a typical cliffhanger. The summary tells the basis of the story but the characters are well defined and easy to love or hate. It makes you really want to move on to Book 2, Boy in Luv, and hope these two characters can work out their issues and find their HEA.

Loved them both and highly recommend the series.
