Malik and crew are back..

Summer is over and it’s time for the fall semester. Welcome back to Caiman U! After the events of the summer, Malik is ready to start his fall semester at Caiman U. Back are his friends minus Alexis. We also meet new friends and the sorors and frats! Of course the danger and threat of his mother is still looming. We are mourning those that were lost. We are meeting new family as well. I could not stop listening to this one. As a fantasy girlie, I am so excited to have a book that features characters that the childhood me would have loved to read. I can’t wait for book three!!

“Another One”

This book had me on a emotional roller coaster. I was not expecting the story to go the way it did. Ladarrian Williams has done it again!!

Can’t wait for the next book! It’s always bittersweet when it gets close to the end. I really feel like I’m there. The writing is great, refreshing, and does a beautiful job with representation. The narrator is perfect and I hope to see him as Malik in the show!

I absolutely love this series.Its is such a beautiful and complex story of the black experience from the eyes, minds and hearts of several generations.

Super Follow Up Book!

Once again, the 2nd book in this series had me at the edge of my seat! Well read and well written. If you are on the fence about this book, get it. I can't wait for the next one!

Historical references and character development

I truly enjoyed this journey of young black magical coming-of-age. Despite the fact that there are not many stories like it. The author was able to develop characters through their world. As a black man, I was able to relate to the decisions and the obstacles and turmoil the main character encountered. The author created a world that was fun to enjoy told in our language, with a compelling story to follow and complement.

So real

Beautiful, open, honest! Wonderful representation of the magic in the black community. Cast a wide net and includes the struggles faced by our people yet has all the joy flavor.
