I forever love this book and series. I'd read a dictionary if Joe Shine wrote it. The narrator did a great job. I'm looking forward to the 3rd book - hopefully we'll get to see both narrators from this book and from the first! You won't regret investing in this series.

Super fun story & entertaining narrator. The author has created a very cool & thorough world for the characters in this book & in the other novel in the series, I Become Shadow. I hope another book is in the works, as I'm eager to know how the story continues.

I really liked this book, it has enough twists and turns and excitement that it keeps you guessing. I hope he continues the series.

I read "I Become Shadow" in 2020, and I remember it being my favorite book of that year. I don't know why I waited so long to read the second book. It was just as good. Action packed, exciting, original, fun characters. I'm so sad that there are no more after this one. Such an amazing author, but I can't find anything else written by him. Hopefully he is writing under a different name. It would be such wasted talent if not.

Narration was perfect, and I have chosen my next book based on the narrator (since there are not any more written by Joe Shine).
