A clean historical western fiction. Can two people with physical imperfections find happiness together, even though they think no one could love them. Several twists involving other people try to interfere.


The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. C.J. McAllister has a fine voice for this book.

Wonderful book from first word to last word. I can't wait to read others in this series.

Jubilee Springs Romance

I quite enjoyed Blind Affection. I actually felt on the edge of my seat most of the time. I find some audiobooks I’ll pick up because I’m bored, but I kept returning to this one so I could know what happened next.

C.J.’s narration took a little getting used to because it could be dramatic at times, but I thought he did an excellent job, especially with the voices, which were often so defined I could tell who was speaking before we were told.

It was not particularly sexual, though there were references to ‘man-parts’.

Overall, quite enjoyable. I’m just getting into the swing of romance novels and I’m looking forward to picking up my next.

Lightly Christian Mail Order- Someone 4 Everyone

A scarred mail order bride from NY travels west to wed a man with a damaged leg in this predictable, but entertaining, lightly Christian mail order bride story. About 3 hours.

Enjoyable

Although this is book 10 of the series it is the first one that I have listened to. I love mail order bride books and this one had a different twist to it. I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. These two are injured and correspond for two years before circumstances gets them together. I love the plot twists that happen. I also love the role the father has in the story. It is a nice story and narrated well.

Friends First..

This book centers around Lily, the female lead, and Wythe, the male lead.

Both leads are looking for the same thing but they don't realize it at first.

Overall, a sweet romance with extremely likable characters.

C.J. McAllister did well with the narration.

Loved it

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. It was enjoyable and had me on the edge of my seat. Having it audible increased the pleasure since I could listen to and from my 40 mile drive to work

Blessings for the broken

Two people, crushed and defeated by their own insecurities, nearly ready to throw in the towel, find their other broken half in pen pal form, and try to rush & make a go of it, before they worry themselves or each other out of it. :)

A Beautiful Story, Beautifully Done!

Lily has to get away, the thought of watching her sister marry HER beloved was far too much to to bear! Wythe’s been corresponding with Lily for two years, and though they’ve never met, he thinks she’d make the perfect wife! Can these two scared, and damaged souls find their way to forever? No spoilers. I’m not telling! “Blind Affection” is a beautifully written, fabulously narrated love story that kept me throughly in the moment, completely engaged, from beginning to end! I loved THIS plot! There was romance, a bit of intrigue, and some deliciously well placed humor! My interest never wavered! I have to say, I was really pulling for these two to overcome all the obstacles, nefarious individuals, and adverse circumstances in this delightful, beautifully written story. I really loved the characters, well, most of them! I’ll not say who the exceptions were, but know all were fantastically defined and developed, and the ones I wanted to drown in a horse trough really deserved it, honest! The narration that brought these characters and this beautiful story to life was fantastic! Five stars all around!

Love can be seen through the scars

Both Lily and Wythe have scars of their pasts. They must learn navigate the fear and shame of those imperfections that were not their fault. After corresponding for two years, Wythe and Lily choose to take the ultimate risk and marry. How will they navigate the waters of not only getting to know each other but also overcoming each individual's insecurities of being worthy of being loved?

Sandra writes a beautiful story of discovery that beauty is only skin deep and that love is found in much deeper waters. C.J. McAllister weaves this story with his smooth voice and great characters.
