The actual audio stood out the most

This story is a classic, so there will be no dislikes. I’m so excited that Joy Deja King has put her work on Audible. If you are a fan, go check out every book starting with this one. This story is unique and one of a kind and even though it starts off as the typical hood, that’s definitely not how it’s going to end.

Real Life Beast of a series

I absolutely love these kinds of books and this series is one of my favorite.. The author which she is one hell of a writer if not one of the best out here she takes real life unfortunately and makes it into something that just grabs ahold of you and draws you in to were you don't want to walk away without finishing the book in one setting I just spent the last 7 hours listening and reading because I got so caught up in the storyline I can't wait to start the next book which I'm about to do keep up the amazing writing.... Joy Deja King you have been blessed with a gift and I hope to see and read more from you in the future.........

PRECIOUS IS TOO YOUNG

The story is amazing; Young lady, though. naive, and very emotional, uses her ability to compartmentalize to make a true name for herself. When it comes to business, she thinks very logically. When it comes to her personal life, she's a broken little girl. But the character is too savvy to be a little girl. She's too calculated to be as young as she is. Nobody is naturally a good shot. You mean to tell me every time she touched the gun she automatically knew how to aim and kill folk, Just from the fact that she was finessing hustlers? It would have been more believable if one of those hustlers had believed that she needed to be able to defend herself and had enrolled her in self-defense classes and marksmanship classes. Some "Black Widow" type s***. Or if Boogie had been on that, and when she would go visit him he would mentor her, Teaching her to shoot and how to defend herself against a man as a woman. Making sure she had the know-how to get away if she had to dip to save her life. That would explain her ability to outthink the man that would have her cornered.
THAT would have added more understanding to her "badass" persona can't nobody beat me (but really, can't NOBODY beat me reality, being Teflon Donna) It would have also added more pain to him dying for her, as well. One of the only men who seem to respect her and genuinely care for her, Not expecting her body in return, and because of that, he got her loyalty.
Without more of a backstory to explain it, I couldn't be completely enrobed in the story . I understand being mature for your age, but to move like Miss Precious Cummins moved, she needed some age. I saw it out to the end because I was invested in the story. There were even times I would forget how young she was until she would remind us. Which means the author wanted to remind us. Why?
