IN LOVE

The narrators for this book made me fall back in love with the book all over again!! I really hope Kepping 13 happens with the same narrators! *fingers crossed*

Read over and over

I love this story so much. This is my 5th time reading it. You really get immersed in the characters and you care so much about them. I have both laughed out loud and cried like a baby. Gibsy is a crack up. I read the actual books and listened to the audiobook and the audiobook readers truly bring the characters to life. They did a great job.

Well written with great characters

The beginning started off slow, but improved about a fourth of the way through. Then it was really interesting and surprisingly funny. The love between Shannon and Johnny just keeps growing and getting better. Enjoyed listening to this immensely. Took some time to get used to male narrator, so give it some time.

Wow. I need to read the second right away. The TENSION 🥵

Oh my goodness. THIS BOOK. I give it a very high 3 because it’s literally a PART 1 book. Meaning…. The story is basically being set up this entire first book. Does it really go anywhere?…. Not really… BUT…. I feel like this is a realistic pace for the type of relationship that’s being developed and I’m LOVING it. This is not the type of book you read if you want fast paced. This is a delicious slow burn with a very thorough dive into Shannon and Johnnys relationship and life circumstances. I am the type of person who LOVES when an author takes the time and attention to really capture the characters without rushing through. This book has some heavy topics about bullying and abuse. I have a feeling that this next book is going to feel so much more raw and real because of the time taken in this first part.

I LOVE Johnny. I love the forbidden age gap trope and the tension it creates.
I Love the Rugby Team Dynamic.
I Love that there was absolutely zero sex in this book which isolated his feelings for her to be SO much deeper than physical interest.
I love the innocent girl meets the Star Rugby player…

And I LOVE Shannon Like the River… I’m cheering so hard for her. And I need to give her the biggest hug.

I don’t know why I’m so invested in this story… but I just felt totally surrendered to it and need to see it through.

Wow! My friend was not lying when she said I had to read these books. I don’t even know where to begin. First off, I love Johnny and Shannon! I love how protective Johnny is over Shannon! It broke my heart to hear how Shannon’s home life was! I love Shannon’s brother Joey! Gibsie is the best, best friend to Johnny! I love how supportive he is to him and I love the humor he added to this book! I love the nickname he gave to “little Shannon”. This book was great and I can’t wait to read the next one!

engaging and sad story

The Irish accents didn't sound quite right so it was a bit distracting. Otherwise I really enjoyed the book and am emotionally attached to the main character Shan.

I found myself laughing out loud. The narrators are amazing. It’s a love story but so much more

Captivating!

This story sucked me in. Took me a bit to get the accents, but now that I do I can’t wait to listen to the second book.

Great story.

I first started listening to the audiobook, but quickly realized I needed subtitles (aka the actual book). So I downloaded the ebook. There are a lot of small discrepancies between the book and the audiobook. Which is more editorial than story wise. I think this book should be read instead of listened to. But the story is superb!

All of the books in Chloe’s 13 series are a 10/10

I’m so obsessed with these books. I’ve listened to all four of them in a month. I have never loved a book series like this. The drama, the romance, the laughs, the tears, and everything else I’ve felt with these books. I wish I could read them again for the first time. I will recommend this series to everyone I know. And I will continue to pray Chloe makes this into a tv series. 10/10 would recommend! Can’t wait to read the rest of the boys of Tommen series
