Hmmm…

The story was good but the Jameson Adams narration made it a hard listen for me. The slow dragged-out sounding voice he used made it seem like forever to get to the end of the story. He failed miserably if he was going for sexy. Does anyone listen to this stuff before publishing?

Could not love this more....

This love story had everthing. Angsty love, hot love, heartbreaking love and hilarious love! I laughed (mostly at Seven). I cried mostly about Jake's stubborness and vulnerable heart. The chemistry with these two is raw and beautiful. The love they both feel is timeless. This book is definitely one of my top 2022 reads. I have read it over and over. Shey Stahl continues to write stories I just can't let go of...

C + overall

This is the second book of this series I’ve “read”. The first was bawdy humor, crazy kids, unusual meet cute and filled with interesting ancillary characters. This book had many of the same elements but disappointed in a few key areas. Female MC was weak and so incredibly indecisive, leaving me unsympathetic to her struggle. Male MC has “soulmate love” but unwilling to commit without (in my view) much standing in his way to do so. When I wasn’t giggling, I was rolling my eye in frustration. So….meh, still prefer the first book

Mixed feelings

I have mixed feeling for this story. It’s kinda gross that the h was having sex with the H and her fiancé. I’m a romance lover. This was not romance if you having sex with two men. It didn’t matter how the author tried to rationalize the writing. It’s cheating and not romantic at all. More than half way, they both admitted that they don’t belong to each other but ok to have sex. As a reader/ listener, I found this story sad and not romantic.
