Betrayed in shadow

I find myself committed in this story line. From book one to now. Once I start I can’t put it down. The characters are so relatable. Love the suspense, Most of all the strength, intelligence, fearless character of the women makes me feel proud. Love their kick a$$ response to male danger.

LAST BOOK IN THE SERIES!!! ; (

I'm so sorry to have this series end. However, the authors did such a good job of tying up loose ends that I don't see how another release could follow. I hate that each book isn't longer. I much prefer that my credit buys books that are at less a 10 hour minimum. I truly recommend this entire series, but it's important to start with the first book. The authors do a good job of building characters from book to book.

Maybe It's Just Me

I've stayed with the Cassie Quinn series since the beginning. But it seems to me that the last couple of books have led the story a bit off the rails. Book 5 was nearly manic with the happenings in Chicago. Then this one comes along and it's got a strange relational vibe to it as well. In fact, it seemed to me that the main characters spent more time on their interpersonal relationships than they did working this case. A case which they have no right to work.

I'm fine with suspending belief for stories of this nature, but this series seems to have taken a weird turn ever since Cassie's detective friend was murdered. I'll probably hold on for one more story in this series, hoping for improvement and a return to the early style of the series.

I liked the way the main character grow though out the series. So start with the first in the series.
