This is good! Loveeeeee a strong woman, with a mean punch!

Like how he ended up dying… also love her eyes, love the voices to the characters too, they seem to fit perfectly.

4.5 stars 1.5 spice

The author does a phenomenal job writing about the heavy topic of domestic abuse. Our FMC escapes from her horrific husband, who is a well loved DA, and runs as far as she can. You feel on edge through this book through all of her struggles trying to survive and keep hidden. She finally lands with an older woman who hires her as a helpful assistant and is safe for a few months. The woman's Grandson shows up and over times falls for the FMC.

There are so many twists in this book that it really keeps you on edge. Some I had a feeling would happen and a few I thought WTF.

Would I recommend this to my mom? No. But I would recommend this to my fellow dark readers.

Wow Just Wow!!

This was a face paced day listen that was witty, full of surprises and a handful of humorous jabs at other great dark romance books !
Loved the characters even if the plot line was fairly predictable because the banter was fun. Starts dark but lightens up with plenty of spice along the way. Great narration Duet POV. Enjoyable listen !
