overdramatic much?!

this might have been a good storyline if I could have concentrated on it without laughing at the overdramatized narration. seriously, who chooses these narrators and does no one listen to them before release? Samantha Young writes pretty good stories but especially in this one the female narrator makes the male brogue sound like the man is dumb as a stump and her overacting at the so-called sexy parts were laughable. someone get serious about narration out there!!

One star performance

The story was cute but I couldn't get passed the horrible Female narration for the Scottish characters. She made them sound like they were slow and stupid. It reminded me of that SNL skit The Californians.

Good story, bad female narrator

The story was good, I like all of Samantha Young’s books, but I couldn’t get past the female narrator. Based on the description of the heroine she didn’t sound like her and I couldn’t get past it. The male narrator did great. I’ll have to read the book if I do a re-read.

Great story but horrible female narrator

I love this story line but I had a very hard time making it through this book. It’s like the female narrator has no idea how to pronounce names nor did she listen to the previous books to see how they were pronounced in the other books.

Excellent story, painful Scottish accent

I love this book, the whole series is great. The only complaint I have is the female narrators accent for both the Scottish males and females.

Another win

So happy we finally got Eredine’s story! This was a great friends-to-lovers with all the drama I’ve come to expect from this series. Again, I do feel like the end dramatics were rushed a bit and would have preferred a bit less of the earlier plot in favour of not feeling like everything happened so fast at the end.

Story is fabulous!

I love Samantha Young books, and this one was as great as all of the others, I cannot wait for #5! The female narrator was a bit of a story killer for me, he accents were awful, she exaggerated a lot of parts and didn’t fit the female character at all.

It could be a bit shorter

It was a good book. Really enjoy the author but I feel the book could be shorter. The narrators were very good.

Be with Me

This series is fabulous, I look forward to the next instalment the moment I finish a book.

I loved Arran Adair! He has gone through a lot of growing up and is a man he is proud of and a man his family can be proud of.

Eredine is hiding from a past that no one knows about but the people keeping her safe. Arran and she have become the closest of friends and he knows she isn’t telling him the truth but he is ok with that.

But he starts to have some serious feelings for her, but doesn't want to ruin their friendship and same with Eredine she is having feelings and decides to act on it.

I loved how open they were when they started things and yes even with a big chunk of her past being hidden they make a great pair.
The events that happen I will say the way she reveals herself is heartbreaking but so honest. I just loved this story.

I need the last Adair brother home and him to get his HEA please!!

The narration was ok, Sydney Zaylin is new to me but I do wonder if she is British or if she was just doing a bad British accent. It felt forced at times.

Gripping

It was so good to be back in the Scottish Highlands on the Ardnoch Estate for Arran Adair and Eredine Willows’s story. Such was the descriptive writing (and perhaps because I was recently there) I could easily visualize the Scottish Highlands.
This book was everything I was expecting and so much more. From the first chapter I was riveted to these characters and their story. I have been intrigued by Arran from the first time we met him and knew that there was more to him than he let shine through. Arran has been the wanderer of the family avoiding the estate as much as he can.
Now he is back and the flirting and friendship he has with Eredine is reaching a new level. It was entertaining to watch these friends move to lovers. Be With Me was a well written, romantic, suspenseful story that ticked all the boxes for me.
The narration by Stewart Crank and Sydney Zaylin who were both new to me was spot on. Their voices are easy to listen to and they did kustic to the story and the characters written by Samantha Young.
