Chad Stone’s life hasn’t gone the way he’d hoped over the past year. He was laid off and forced to live with his parents in their basement. He dove headfirst into a popular MMORPG and built a crafting empire that made him one of the richest players in the game. However, FFO gamers worldwide began mysteriously vanishing while playing the game, and no one has a clue what happened to them or where they are.

Chad soon finds out firsthand when he is sucked into another world while playing the game. He wakes up to find a purple kangaroo named Fozzy standing over him. Chad learns that he is stuck in this new world and that there’s no going back. When Chad pulls a lever on a celestial slot machine he finds out that he is an S-ranked barbarian. Fozzy tells him that he can go anywhere and do anything with his immense power. The kicker is that Chad could care less about being strong and extremely overpowered. The local townsfolk keep badgering him for help, but the man just wants to open a restaurant on the beach with some monster girls.

Great fun

This is a pretty fun book, I wasn’t fully sold with the title being what it is, but really surprised how much I loved this book. Jessica does an amazing job as always.

A fun and relaxing Story

Once in a while, you want to listen to a relaxing yet straight-to-the-point story. I only have two complaints: the story was a bit too short and despite her talent, Jessica's voice doesn't go well with Chad's. All in all, it's an enjoyable tale.

A Short Enjoyable Slice of Life

I rather enjoyed this story and I thought the narration was quite good. My only real complaint was the insane yandere kitsune that is off-putting to say the least what with her habit of pulling a knife on people.

a good mix with the characters and a decent plot

Great story

This is a great story I can’t wait to see more, The MC is very OP bit instead plowing his way thru impossible enemies and situations he just tries to live his life. Obviously action happens pretty much right away but it is a refreshing approach to the attitude that is generally taken in this genre. Also Jessica Threet is amazing all the time every time.

slice of life for everyone

an awesome title and narration Isekai the way it is executed will keep you interested from start to finish. while the mc might be op he handles it extremely well and will have you looking forward to volume 2.

Short but sweet

Wish the book was longer or you know, more were on the way. :( I haven't heard if there was more in the series planned, I would love to hear more of this world.

A breath of fresh air…

This novel was so far removed from what I was expecting. I’m really surprised. Glad I came across it and I can’t wait to volume 3’s audiobook. Listening to volume two right after this review.
