Steamy brother’s best friend romance

I’m a sucker for an older brother’s best friend forbidden romance. The spice in this book was top notch. I always love when they sneak around because it adds so angst to it. The story spans over 5 years which I liked. Nautica and Bracken were a little immature for my liking. Bracken definitely put Nautica through so many ups and downs on his moods and wanting to do be together. But the slap in the face from life and reality made him realise what an idiot he was being. But they were relatable on their struggle to be together and getting past any hurdles life was throwing their way.

Lacey Laurel and Christian Stark are new to me narrators. They did a good job bringing Nautica and Bracken’s story to life.

great listen

this was great listen i did enjoyed the fact that the events happen over time and not just in a months time. it was slow burn for me at least. Bracken is Nautica's brother bff which makes her offlimits. the chemistry was was great. i enjoyed the narrators bring the characters to emotions to life. im glad i had it on aubible so i didnt have to put it down and could listen straight through.

The Final Step

I love how this starts with Bracken showing Nautica just how bad of an idea it is for them to be together. 🔥 And I really enjoyed the first two-thirds of them going back and forth, trying - and failing - to stay at arms length.

There's a big turning point where stuff goes wildly wrong. I'm good with that. It's how, with barely any effort, Bracken manages to repair everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, that made me pause. Nautica goes from feisty to accepting any table scraps that come her way.

There's also a plot line that feels incomplete. We have the first step and the final step but it felt like there should've been something in between.

This was my first book from this author. I will try again but I just think this wasn't the right match for me. I'm going to round my rating up for the moment but may adjust after I've sat on it a few days.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are Lacey Laurel and Christian Stark. I like both but Lacey sounded a bit older than Nautica's eighteen years.

A Brother's Best Friend Romance

Nautica and Bracken’s steamy and angsty slow burn forbidden romance, filled with angst and ups and downs. They share a push and pull relationship. This is a good Brother’s best friend romance. I liked the happy ending. Lacy Laurel and Christian Stark did a great job with the narration.

Loved it!

This is my first book by Charity Ferrell. It definitely won't be my last. Such a great story.

Steamy Brother's Best Friend Story

Bad For You was a quick and steamy, brother’s best friend/little sister story that was heavy on the heat and drama. Bracken and Nautica gave into their attraction one night and then could not stay away from each other. When tragedy hits, can their love survive the aftermath?

Both characters started out as a little immature and it was easy to see that they needed to grow up before they could truly explore a relationship. I did enjoy the story and felt the chemistry between the two characters. However, I wanted more explanations for the missing years.

The narrators did a good job of bringing the story to life, especially the male narrator. The female narrator did a nice job, but I had trouble connecting with her interpretation of the Bracken’s scenes. All in all, this was an enjoyable listen and I do recommend it.

Sweet forbidden romance!

Bad for You, an Audiobook by Charity Ferrell is the story of Bracken and Nautica. He is best friends with her brother. Still, she’s loved him forever. Now, she’s a college freshman…where he goes too! After a party, things happen. Now, they both want more…but, can’t.

This was a sweet story. Bracken was, oftentimes, a bit of a jerk. I understand why…but, that doesn’t make it ok. Nautica seems to forgive him over and over again. Then, when tragedy strikes…everything changes!!

This Audiobook was well-narrated by Lacey Laurel and Christian Stark. They do a great job with the characters, reaching those emotional plateaus necessary in an angst-filled story like this one. Great job!!

Sexy and Fun

Loved listening to the Audiobook. The storyline was fun, sexy, light at times, heavy at times. Nothing like a good forbidden, older bother BF, and second chance romance to keep you engaged. Náutica and Bracken had a attraction, push pull like no other. As the story continues unfortunate circumstances and mistakes made by Bracken keep them apart. But, fate would have its way and bring thems back together again. Narrated by Lacey Laurel and Christian Stark. The two narrators did a good job of portraying Náutica and Bracken. The audio quality was good, no issues. Great listen.
