Jake needs to grow up

I loved the pace of the book and the final confrontation between John and Jake. however I think Jake is young and pissed as he should be but he has no idea why nor does he care why jack became John. I hope he matures enough to finally hear John Dempsey out.

Best One yet.

Hostage situation from the jump leads to the most compelling story to date, 2 hrs left. Need another entry sooner than a year from now.

absolutely loved this audiobook! one of my favorites in this series. the authors did such an amazing job with this book and developing the relationship of Dempsey and Jack.

Outstanding

Perhaps the best one yet. Just perfection. I look forward to more interactions between father and son. The only downside is the long wait between releases.

And Ray Porter did his usual outstanding job. The man is a rock star.

Awesome level of action balanced with character development.

Missed Chunk and Elizabeth but the story was a great build. The foreshadowing didn't ruin expected moments. Great writing!

Mission Accomplished!

Whew! Another Ember mission accomplished. I couldn’t stop listening until the end. JD & Jake? Come on guys, have some compassion and understanding. Jarvis for President, can we do that for real?! Can someone besides the women get hospitalized for once too? All that aside, it was great as usual. I’m ready for the next mission!

Short but great

I'm so glad I preordered this audio book. The story was a bit simple, but detailed and centered around closure and the tying up of some loose ends. the narration is amazing as usual.

I don’t like- I love your books and sincerely hope that you are doing working on Dempsey’s Team’s next Op.

5 stars all around and back again

Yeah, this one had my heart pounding like crazy for so many different reasons and aspects.
I always go back and relisten to the series from book 1 whenever a new book comes out - and I have to say that this action series is so "character" driven that the action is secondary to me.
I am so enthralled in the PEOPLE in this series - their life choices, their struggles, their drive... it just makes this series so special. These two authors have created and maintained a series that is so much more than an action series - It is so intelligently written with such passion and wit - amazing!
I have laughed and cried with each and every character in this series and this book is certainly no exception. 5 stars all around and back again!
