When Erin Matthews, a young reporter for a failing weekly news magazine, is given the opportunity to save not only her job, but the publication as well, she’s initially excited. But when she finds that her assignment is to cover the most powerful hurricane to strike the Mid-Atlantic Coast, she begins to doubt her ability to succeed, and her elation turns to concern. However, encouraged by her boss and her best friend, she accepts the assignment, accompanied by her photographer. But when an unfortunate accident leaves her alone as the massive storm draws nearer, her safety is seriously at risk. Still, she becomes even more determined to succeed despite the threats posed by the hurricane.

However, a series of events soon has her facing new life-threatening dangers even greater than the hurricane that bears her name. Erin’s only hope for survival is the handsome stranger who miraculously appears. Yet, she is unsure whether he is there to help her or kill her. What follows is a roller coaster ride of suspense, mystery, intrigue, and romance.
