Stunning novel

Christian fiction at its finest
Ever since reading Of Love and Treason last year, I've been eagerly anticipating this book, and it did not disappoint. As Sure as the Sea is Christian historical fiction at its finest. The characters felt real, and I found myself caught up in their stories and struggles. The story is rich in deep truths, (not preaching or platitudes) that flow naturally from the events and the characters.
And it is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Though it's only March, I anticipate that by the time we reach December this will still be one of my favorite books of the year.
The narration was also very well done. This is an intense book, and she really brought the characters to life.
