Taming of the wild one!

Arguing for Alexa is book #4 in the Heroes of Lone Star series. We've had some fantastic stories about these Lynch siblings, but we FINALLY get the mysterious Alexa's story!! She's a CIA undercover operative that finds herself in a LOAD of trouble and behind bars. Colt is a guard and believes Alexa is telling the truth. With his dad's help, they search for the real killer. The chemistry between Colt and Alexa was definitely a slow-burn, but the suspense and intrigue kept me listening to this story WAAAY into the night. Throw in an evil ex for single dad Colt and a missing colleague for Alexa and BAM - a total winner. Don't miss this installment of an exciting series!

The narration was great. Liam DiCosimo and Avery Caris gave us a perfect performance of Colt and Alexa. Loved this duo. 5/5 stars!!

This was a very cute story This is a new to me author. Ms Baker had a great idea in this plot. There could have been so much more. This is a quick read/listen. The chapters are short and I feel Ms Baker missed in some areas that could have added to this and made it a 5 star book.
Colt is a single girl dad. And makes sure she comes first. Alexa, a prisoner he processed and noticed her as she noticed him. Their progression from there skipped and went fast. This is part of where the author missed opportunities to reel the reader in more.
Thank you to BlueNose Audio for the ALC and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I want to stress that this is not bad by any means. I can appreciate the story, and the right amount of spice.
Liam is a very talented voice performer and his range did very well here. As did Avery’s. Great job to both

Fun Suspensful Mystery Romance

This is the first book in the series I have read and the first book by Elizabella Baker. This was a good introduction and I will be going back to read the previous books in the series. This book focuses on Alexa who has always felt out of place in her family. She joined the CIA and has never told her family what she does. When Alexa gets into trouble with the law, she meets Colt. Colt is a divorced dad that has primary custody of his preteen daughter. Colt has a lot of issues with his ex-wife and is trying to balance everything out. There is an insta-attraction between Alexa and Colt but the build up is slower. The building of the relationship between Colt, Alexa, and McKenna was very well done and the suspense and mystery was well developed. 4 stars for the story.

The narration was amazing. Liam and Avery were great at bringing the story to life. 5 stars for the narration.
