Great book on how to engage the culture, especially for those who are already more intellectually/apologetically minded. Many different topics are discussed with various contributors. I especially liked the chapters on emotional and mental health.

In today’s relativistic culture, if you struggle with having deep meaningful conversations about Jesus with your friends like I do, Apologetics for an Ever-Changing Culture will be an excellent resource for you. Sean McDowell does a brilliant job of bringing together essays from the current evangelistic experts on various topics that are the hot button items in today’s volatile society.
As the general editor, he begins with an outstanding introduction on the role of apologetics and the character of a good apologist. In the first section, he presents a collection of exceptional articles on the “new culture” surrounding us, and the unique challenges that are present in current day philosophy. Part two consists of “…taking timeless truths and applying them to timely issues and challenges (p. 93).” In the section entitled “new methods,” tactics geared towards relational apologetics and platforms such as online are discussed. The third part, entitled “new challenges,” discusses the role of apologetics in the difficult areas that are confronting the church today, such as critical theory, homosexuality, sex equality, abortion, mental health, and transgenderism. Sprinkled amid each section are interviews with interesting guests that discuss the various application principles.
Overall, I felt that Apologetics for an Ever-Changing Culture does an excellent job to prepare a Christian to “…give a defense to everyone who asks you for the reason for the hope that is in you. But respond with gentleness and respect,” (1 Peter 3:15). The collection of essays that are in this book are absolutely amazing. In fact, I loved this book so much that after reading this, I bought five copies to give to several close friends/pastors. This is definitely a must read!!!
