Jesus Warned the World Would Hate Christians

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you” (John 15:18).

As cultural hostility toward Christianity intensifies, many Christians have grown more reluctant to advocate for biblical values in the public square. But our perseverance for the common good—a good defined by God alone—is more important than ever in a culture that embraces darkness.

When Culture Hates You is a call for Christians to unashamedly pursue righteousness in society out of our love for others. In this timely resource, author Natasha Crain will help you

  • make sense of cultural hostility by better understanding the roots of secular outrage on issues like Christian nationalism, social justice, abortion, transgenderism, and sexuality
  • advocate for the godly functioning of society with greater biblical, cultural, and civic understanding
  • take concrete action for the common good with more than 35 practical ideas to get you started

As Christians, our calling is to speak truth in the face of hostility. Not because we want to “war” with culture but because we love both God and others.

This is a great book and should be read and used by all church leaders. It’s a refreshing reminder that we not only can live out our Christian convictions publicly, but that we ought to do so, and in doing so let our light shine to the world.

Relevant and important for today’s church

Natasha powerfully dissected how culture tries to distort the biblical view on all the controversial topics in today’s culture. She presented each topic logically and objectively from the world’s and biblical perspectives.

I also appreciate how she pointed out the hostility of current culture against Christians compared to other religious sects. Indeed, Christians have to be well-grounded to reshape the culture from a biblical standpoint.

Clear and Concise

Natasha gives so much Scripture to back her statements and thoughts. I love that. She has a very systematic approach towards each topic.

A powerful overview of why Christian’s need to be Christian.

I have felt alone with just God for quite a while. I work with Christians in the Christian communities and I can say without one doubt. Many people think they are Christians but have zero faith in Jesus. They want to dip their toes in both arenas. Worldly and Heaven.

I don’t want to judge and definitely know my shortcomings so I try to stay as humble as I can when accepting people and just loving them. Judge lest not be judged Matt 7:2. And love many people who are being convinced they are not born in the right bodies. Or that they can be a they instead of an individual…. This book addresses those types of concerns.

It’s easy to want to just be the fluffy loving side of Christianity but when you start standing up for unborn babies and that all children are born in the correct bodies. Well you end up attacked by even the Christian communities.

It addresses all elements. Why we have gone so far to “if you don’t agree you must hate” road is daunting. And she really nails the crux of the problem.

However when I think about the pain and torture Jesus went through so that not one sheep be led astray I just start crying! How can so many people hate our creator who loves us unwaiving! Life isn’t easy but it isn’t our lord and saviors fault. All the glory to God!

Important read for the times we are living in
