Great health starts from within and that is none-more-true than beginning with what we put in our bodies. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing exceptional about the Anti Inflammatory diet and Dash diet (as anyone who has had a checkup with their doctor can attest to). What this book gives you is the ‘why’ behind the effects of today's prepackaged foods on our bodies. And let me tell you, it is a very persuasive argument.

This is a fully-fledged walk-through explanation of two meal plans that are all about getting you to eat more fruit and veg - and ditch all of that calorie counting silliness. I will be giving the anti inflammatory book a second read through because there is a fair bit of dense info in there.

Easy to listen to narration-wise, but sometimes a little difficult to understand. The Anti-inflammatory part of the book had so many medical terms in it. Could have been a little better.

If you have ever tried losing those extra pounds before, then deep down you’ve probably heard most of this already. Otherwise, this is an excellent summary of the Dash and anti inflammation plans. Between reducing your salt, sugar, and reducing fatty food consumption, you have everything you need to get on board and start changing your life for the better.

This is one of the better health books that I’ve come across. Straight to the point and written with a natural style that does away with trying to blind you with science — and instead sticks to giving you just the hard facts.

This helped explain so much about inflammation. It certainly helped me understand why proper diet and nutrition is the best medication when it comes to fighting auto immune diseases.

I love any approach to health that ditches hyper-strict plans that say you can only eat this and you must cut out all of that.
DASH, first of all, comes highly recommended as being the best diet overall (as chosen by the U.S. News & World Report), ahead of other more popular diets like Keto. This fact is stressed by the authors, as well detailing why this simplified diet plan works so well.The anti-inflammatory diet is no slouch either, and the authors have given us recipes galore using ingredients that help to reduce chronic inflammation health issues.
Both plans place a heavy emphasis on ditching high-sugar foods (an ingredient that can cause inflammation), and reducing salt (which helps to reduce high blood pressure).
