And there are doings back in England that Lewrie would prefer to deal with but can't.

Lewrie has always been lucky, always finding a way to prevail-but can he this time? And if he is to be betrayed, who will do it?

Excellent as expected. It brings the era to life

Excellent as expected, John Lee does well with the many dialects to be found aboard a Kong's ship.

Love the way Lambdin writes.

Lambdin makes an imperfect, but self-aware, character seem… perfect.
“Seas so rough they put the Saltiest hands a gagging on the Lea rails.” One of my favorite lines!

one of the best of the series

Lewrie meets a real challenge to his cess. This book was great from start to finish, but seems to be part of a trilogy.

Treachery will never win out!

Alan Lewrie can succeed in spite of his enemies. Dixon will never learn because of his preconceived misconceptions. The action is powerful and the bravery demonstrated by individual characters should never be discounted. A truly inspirational tale.

worst of the lot - skip it

This is the last of the Lewries, owing to Lambdin's death in 2021. It is not a good one. Better to just not read it and end the series with a fond memory.

complete waste

my last Lambdin rewrite of previous storylines. Not worth the time or expense. time to find new authors

Well written - very boring

I tried several hours of this audiobook - hoping that it would get interesting - it did not. Dialogue and more dialogue with little action. This is the only book in the series I have tried - maybe the others are better...
