Resumen del Editor

From award-winning author Adriana Herrera comes a heartwarming - and seriously hot - contemporary romance in her highly acclaimed Dreamers series.

“Herrera delivers an emotionally resonant, sensually charged second Dreamers contemporary (after American Dreamer) that will knock readers’ socks off.” (Publishers Weekly, starred review)

American Fairytale is nothing short of magical.” (Book Riot, a Best Books of 2019 pick)

“A fresh and vital new voice in romance.” (Entertainment Weekly)

Fairy-tale endings don’t just happen; they have to be fought for.

New York City social worker Camilo Santiago Briggs grew up surrounded by survivors who taught him to never rely on anything you didn’t earn yourself. He’s always dreamt of his own happily ever after, but he lives in the real world. Men who seem too good to be true...usually are. And Milo never ever mixes business with pleasure...until the mysterious man with whom he had an unforgettable hookup turns out to be the wealthy donor behind his agency’s new, next-level funding.

Thomas Hughes built a billion-dollar business from nothing: He knows what he wants and isn’t shy about going after it. When the enthralling stranger who blew his mind at a black-tie gala reappears, Tom’s more than ready to be his Prince Charming. Showering Milo with the very best of everything is how Tom shows his affection.

Trouble is, Milo’s not interested in any of it. The only thing Milo wants is Tom.

Fairy-tale endings take work as well as love. For Milo, that means learning to let someone take care of him for a change. And for Tom, it’s figuring out that real love is the one thing you can’t buy.

A real Fairytale

I was so in love with Nesto and Jude from the first book (American Dreamer), that I approached this one with caution. Don't know why now that I've listened to the story. So romantic. Such an enthralling story. Both men are genuine and loving and I walked longer than normal to hear more about Camilo and Tomas. Another A+ book from Ms. Herrera and A+ narration by Mr. Crisden.

Even Sean Crisden can’t make this likable.

I bought this somewhere around 8 months ago and listened once and hated it. Then I listened to an interview with Crisden where he said how much he liked the author so I listened again. Still hate it. Wish I’d never bought it. Wish I’d stopped 3 chapters in and returned it. It’s impossible to convey my level of outrage without a spoiler so I’m not sure how much to say here. But I have a strong dislike for one of the main characters. Idiot drops to his knees in a mens room and wants to be on a moral high ground through the rest of the book. And in the end refuses to help his mom but loves the rich guy who did what he himself should have. Fuc# him! Should have ended with the mother introducing the rich man to a better man. So hard to review without spoilers but suffice it to say I truly hate this book. And I’m a bit aghast Crisden likes and promotes the author.

Implausible and unrealistic

Once you get past the unnecessary detail in the description of the fundraising dinner, you find the two main characters involved in a situation that made no sense for either of them. One is the manager of the charity hosting the dinner. The other is a wealthy benefactor. What follows is equally unrealistic. This could have been a good story, but even what followed made little sense. I stopped listening at Chapter 7.

Even with Crisden Narration the book is an epic failure

Adriana Herrera has found a new way to bore a reader even with the best LGBT Narrator.

Possibly with an editor that cuts half the length and find someway to enable better story and character development of the book might help but doubtful, it should not take 2,000 words to describe a person walking to the kitchen.

Simply the book is formulaic and tedious... oh an tedious... tediously tedious.
