Such a great read!

I really enjoyed how the story with red, and how many different voices were portrayed.

I felt very emotional with this story about her dad it’s really heartbreaking how she wanted her dad back so much.

I love that when her dad was no longer with her she still got her dream restaurant.

I loved it but my only complaint is that the narrator kept changing naveen's accent

I loved this soooo much I love the concept of a familiar story with a new twist. I finished it and three days.

A good listen!

I really enjoyed listening to this book! I tried following along in the hardback but I read faster than the narrator. I liked the different voices that the narrator used for the characters, thus giving a different feel to listening to a book. I'm looking forward to reading or listening to some of the other books in this series!

Enjoyed the whole book, and storyline! It was great! This needs to be a movie!

Love the new story of a classic

Love how they took a beautiful story and gave you back story and they when it changed from the classic story you were feeling like it was wrong. It was like it was always told this way. Then when it ties back in with the ending it makes you feel complete and not left wondering if you actually read it. Absolutely loved this version!

Excellent twist on a classic tale

Everything about this book was magical. This was well written and narrated perfectly! I will absolutely listen to this book again.

Enjoyable!

Well written and brilliantly performed. Large parts of the story are focused on less fantastical concepts which isn’t a weakness unless you prefer a mostly magical story. This is more fantastic realism inspired. This novel will make you crave Creole and Cajun food. I adored this novel and I didn’t want it to end. The Shadow Man would be an excellent villain arc novel at some point.

Repetitive

Story was okay , but while listening to this , it seemed like the author couldn’t find other words, just kept repeating the same things over and over again .
