RECOGNIZING my OWN addiction

I began this book, intrigued, and believing that it would be a hard story to witness, but loving Liz Gilbert, it was a no-brainer for me. As I listened to her soothing voice, page after page, I became profoundly aware that she was speaking to me! I have never confronted my own relationship, addictions, I have never been fully aware that I even had any. I believe this book has set me on a new path and possibly changed the trajectory of my life.!! 10 out of 10 recommend⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautifully Written. Beautiful Journey

People will attack Gilbert for the content of this book, questioning the integrity of writing about her wife’s life and death. But this book is so much more than that. This book is honest and true and everything people need to hear right now. My hope is that I can forget this so I can read it again for the first time. But I suspect that will be a difficult task.

Truth

I loved every second of her inspiring story, insanity, and complete understanding of what sobriety means. We are the chosen few. Who knew the worst parts of our lives can become the most important basis of our truth. Thank you for making me understand God will ALWAYS give you back the years that the locusts took away!! I loved it !

Liz is back ! First of all I like that it’s Elizabeth Gilbert reading the book herself! This book reminded me of Eat, Love and Pray with how raw it was. Lots of people will be able to relate to it and feel understood and not so alone with the lots of different things she did and felt. Definitely a book I will listen to over and over again. This is the best book I’ve read in a while. Elizabeth is so honest.. so raw. It’s beautifully written. A must read.

It’s a bit too therapy speak for me…….. but it’s good. It’s just not my favorite.
