High school bffs fake engagement

First time listening to this author and male voice actor . Idk if I will continue. It’s a decent warm light read. Not too much going on. More miscommunication than I’d like. I did enjoy the mean girl drama tho ! The spice was introduced early and throughout but I felt it was lacking.

I enjoyed it each second! The complete feel good romance packed with the right ingredients to keep you listening. The story went back on high school drama until today. The powerful billionaire, the heroine deserving a second chance, and villain that we love to hate! The narrators, Samantha Summers and Xander Marceaux, had a stellar performance embracing and bringing the characters to life. I high recommend and is the perfect weekend audiobook! Not knowing who she was or how to handle bullies at her High School reunion is wild. But that wasn't what really put me off.

Once they got to YaYa's festivities I was really turned off.
She let her bully treat her like crap again. No.
He a successful business man just paid out 1 million dollars a day for blackmail with no proof all because he it wouldn't hurt his bank account. No.
The mom and grandma knew the bully was bullying one of her guests and didn't do anything. No.
The boyfriend knew his girlfriend was was blackmailing his family and didn't throw her out.
The bully did all of this because she saw her dad get help washing off his shirt so she blamed a little girl and made her life hell with arson and blackmail. No.
Then when the bully tells all the first time she gives in and becomes a woe is me and blames everyone for her inability to stand up for herself and leaves. But as she leaves changes her mind because her bully tells all again.
All of these adults just stood there and watched it play out. Granted that's how the figured it all out but really? No.
Sloppy. Unbelievable. Not up to par with the other books. Almost like someone else wrote it. Add more depth. Develop you characters. Make it believable.
