You can never go wrong with a Lisa Wingate novel

A Thousand Voices did not disappoint.

A lovely, sing-song feeling story of Dell, a young half-Choctaw woman trying to sift through her past while not disturbing her present. Rich with tidbits of Choctaw history, A Thousand Voices finds Dell searching for her birth father in secret so as not to hurt her adoptive white parents. When Dell meets the Reed family over the Labor Day Choctaw pow wow, she is filled with a new sense of belonging as she learns about her heritage as she instills some lessons of her own to her new friends.

A very easy flow to the book that will keep you wanting to turn the page. I’m always so impressed at the easy flow of dialogue in a Lisa Wingate book and A Thousand Voices left me smiling at its reality.

I truly enjoyed the story, the character development, and the narrator. The story was very relatable.

More please

Lisa Wingate should reconvene this series now that it’s been more than a decade. We need to see how these characters have matured and see what their children are up to. I miss this crazy family.

She did it again!

I discovered Lisa Wingate last year and fell in love with her books. This book is wonderful and I love how Lisa wound up the ending and Dell got her heart’s desire to know that her mother did look at her in the same way she looked at Angelo. It’s as if all her questions were answered and the spiritual connection to her heritage resolved.

Love this book and this author!

Lisa Wingate is one of my favorite authors. This book was also excellent! I will listen to it again.

Amazing series....

So many topics dealt with so beautifully while weaving the characters in and throughout this five book series! Hurts to say goodbye to each and every one!!

Lisa Wingate Series is a winner

I have loved the Tending Roses series by Lisa Wingate. Her ability to weaves the stories and characters together has truly been a joy to experience. I’m sad to have finished the last one. Perhaps their stories will continue one day.

Another wonderful story

The last in the series by Lisa Wingate. Part of the same family but very different than the others. Shows the true conflict of a child of adoption. Excellent story of family no matter where you find them.
