Resumen del Editor

Would you recognize love when you saw it?

Cordelia Honeyfield has been sent to the seaside "for her health" - and the last thing she wants is the meddling nonsense of a country doctor. Her wild spirit is frowned upon by the town, and familial embarrassment now means she's stuck at the beach in a brisk March wind, waiting to meet this doctor as she promised her father.

Dr. Timothy Walsingham is about to meet a new elderly patient - a Miss Honeyfield whose letters have had him in stitches. As he waits by the sand, a beautiful woman catches his eye, and he begins a conversation that will distract him from his practice, from his patients...and his reason.

Can a chance meeting of mistaken identity lead to something more? Will Cordelia ever reconcile with her family - and can Dr. Timothy Walsingham make this springtide meeting one that they will both never forget?

A Springtide Meeting is a sweet regency romance about the strange coincidences that fate deals us and whether we are brave enough to take them.

Short and sweet

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. This was a nice, sweet short love story about two people who make arrangements to meet but don't realize who they are meeting. They each have an impression of what each other should look like. They start up a friendship not realizing that they were suppose to meet. The companion is hilarious and leaves them alone to get acquainted. The narrator Virginia Ferguson does an excellent job with the voices. I would recommend this to everyone who loves regency romances. It made my plane ride go by faster. Very enjoyable.

Fun Regency Romance

Would you consider the audio edition of A Springtide Meeting to be better than the print version?

The reader for the audiobook was great. She did wonderful accents and was not annoying when she switched from female to male voices. She was very entertaining.

If you’ve listened to books by Emily Murdoch before, how does this one compare?

This was my 1st

Which character – as performed by Virginia Ferguson – was your favorite?

Cordelia was just quirky enough to be enchanting.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I am always touched when a character realizes that if they do the right thing they may lose the one they love. It was just that in this book, when Timothy realizes who Cordelia is and doesn't know if he should tell her or not.

Any additional comments?

Very fun story. I liked how it jumped right into the story. I didn't like how sometimes it jumped a little faster in the story than I wish it would. I wanted a little more interaction and lovey-stuff before Timothy and Cordelia went to her family.

A Short romance with mistaken identities

This was a short, but sweet romance story. I liked both Cordelia and Dr. Timothy. Their characters made this book a fun one to listen to. The fact that both had introduced themselves by their first names made the book more interesting. The narrator did an excellent job. Her accent added to the story. This story was short, so there wasn't much development in the characters. But if you like short, sweet stories, this one is for you.

Chance meeting on the beach

An enjoyable story and well worth the list. The narrated does a great job with each of the different characters that you have no trouble with knowing who is speaking.

Nice story

A very sweet, old fashioned story about two people who meet accidently, but have been writing each other notes to meet. When they realize the are the same people they may feel differently about each other. But whatever is meant to be, will be. I received a complimentary audio and I am voluntarily giving a review.

Enoyable Regency

There is a strong connection right away for the hero to the heroine. The setting of the seashore is delightful and the story rolls along as a regency would with a great deal of discussion. Early on I suspected the irony of unexpected identity within the story. However, one must very much enjoy the regency style to appreciate the story since it is so dependent on dialogue and an examination and exercise of manners. The oral performance was fabulous with excellent voices for the characters and good interpretation of emotion.

Delightful

This is a short and sweet story which is totally delightful and kept me guessing for most of the story - and then the penny dropped - for both me and the dear doctor, at about the same time and all became clear.
I loved the ending and I loved that the main characters were able to work out their misguided ideas and their misunderstandings with good, honest communication which is often so lacking in this type of situation.
Altogether a beautiful story, well told and well narrated.
I voluntarily read a free copy of the ebook as well as listened to a free copy of the audiobook and the above is my unbiased and unsolicited review.
