Fun story

The Character development was interesting and the plot twists were fun and the setting was beautiful

Confused

Confused. I have loved Anne Cleaves other books read or audiobooks. I have read many of them. But this is my least favorite. To me it appeared that either it was a shortened version or words were left out by the reader it was not as detailed and smooth of progression as some of her other books to me. I was disappointed. I saw a new book and immediately said yes to Audible looking forward to it, and the story itself appeared to be interesting, but ultimately the telling of the story did not meet my expectations.
