A whodunnit at its finest

Really enjoyed the accuracy of police procedures and crime scene forensics. When an author gets those right, it allows a knowledgeable reader to concentrate on the characters, plot and setting. The investigator, Atticus Priest is getting better developed from the first book to this one as is his love interest DCI Jones. Can’t wait for the next one in the series and I’ll probably pick up The book about what if Chernobyl was not an accident.

Really good series

I have enjoyed the books in this series and can’t wait for the next one.

This Should Be A Television Series

I listened to all three books in a row. This should be a television series!!

Great characters

Great voice and inflections by Vance. He really brings the eccentricities of Atticus Priest to life.

Vance’s voice continues to bring Dawson’s characters to life in the most satisfying way!

The town of Salisbury is truly fleshed out as a main character. It’s in this book we realize, Mr. Dawson rarely mentions anything as filler. Rather, as just enough foreshadowing to satisfy the sleuth in his readers.

I think this one was better than book 1. Great suspense, ready for 3.

Ready for the next one…

…NOW!!! What an amazing story and mystery ! Truly was “unputdownable!!!” I am so bummed that I must wait. Atticus is great character— I highly recommend this read ( or listen). Truly wish I had the next in the series to begin tonight! Simon Vance is wonderful too! I love it when the voice(s) perfectly match the character being formed in the listener’s head.

I will be ready when the next book drops!

Wow!!!

I was a little wary about this author with so few reviews, but I read the reviews and they lead me to take a chance!

Mark Dawson is a wonderful writer, his characters are well rounded and developed, complete with gifts and an abundance of flaws, and yes some are depraved animals. Mr Dawson brings everyone out so well by the time you get to this 2nd book in the series you really “know” them. I absolutely love this series, and this book is even better than the first (hard to believe because I loved book 1).

Use your credit, deal with traffic or whatever your challenge for the day is … and enjoy!!
