Finally I have found a book on meditation which gives practical approach to meditation for the first timer like me. This book is a gem for people who have never done meditation or done it earlier, as methods given here really work. I have tried reading books on meditation earlier but was never able to complete them as I found them boring or could not understand them at all. This book is beautiful narrated and was very interesting to hear, wisdom here is so deep and profound, I had to order a hard copy for myself.

If you can't sit the proper way, you can sit in a chair but will never be more than a social (failed) meditator. Do yoga exercises to reduce the pain. Don't be physically handicapped or recovering from injuries. There are checklists so you can know if you made an F in today's meditation. Based on the # of requirements, you did. Save yourself some time and accept you're a failure per this book, or find a meditation book that doesn't embrace judgment and encourage self loathing. Enjoy!
