When the two plainest people in London enter into an arranged marriage, the ton isn't so much surprised as counting the days to an arranged separation. Louise is too short, too dull, and too dowdy, and the earl is positively frightening, with his frowning demeanor and massive shoulders. He's willing to marry her because he doesn't expect a dowdy wife to impact his lifestyle and other relationships. She's willing to marry him because ugly and unmannerly as he is, she is—for some unaccountable reason—drawn to the man.

Louise vows to arrange the marriage to her own satisfaction, but when he appears to have another love interest, her anger and sorrow lead her to make a big mistake, which he responds to just as foolishly.

A Marriage is Arranged us a fantastic new Regency romance by G L Robinson. I think that this is such an interesting romance. I find that this author creates different stories that I don't want to stop listening.
G L Robinson always narrates her own books and I believe that she us so successful in bringing her books to life. I found it interesting that neither the Lady nor the Earl are attractive...they are rather plain. The road to love is never easy and both had to overcome many obstacles. A Marriage is Arranged is a Grand Slam!

Delightful Regency Romance

I enjoyed this Regency romance story. The story was based on one of my favorite tropes that of arranged marriages. Louise agreed to marry the Earl as she was attracted to him. The Earl agreed to marry Louise because he thought she wouldn't change his current lifestyle. The relationship went through some misunderstandings and some sweet moments. I enjoyed the flashes of humor. GL Robinson's narration was good, and her performance brought the story to life. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Very Amusing Unusual Regency Romance

I very much enjoy this author and her unusual stories which are not like a lot of Regencies on offer these days. No sex passing for romance, so those looking for Heat probably won’t care for this story. Another possible issue for some listeners is that the author reads her books. She is not a professional, but I like listening to her. This author’s books are not Typical and she usually includes interesting facts about the Regency period that I enjoy.

Just the thing for an enjoyable listen!

This book was easy to become absorbed in and follow along as a young couple embark upon a journey to marriage. Just enough tongue in cheek humor to lighten the story and increase enjoyment, until the inevitable obstacles to happiness appear. By then, the reader is invested in the story and eagerly listens as our hero and heroine work their way to a happy ending—with the help of the hero’s grandmother, no less! Easy listening, enjoyable story and happy ending!

Very Enjoyable

I stumbled across this author via my Kindle Unlimited subscription, and found her historical regencies to be well-written, witty, and clean, as well as very enjoyable. I have now read all of these print e-books, and also purchased and listened to all of her audiobooks now availalbe. I've found it very pleasurable to listen to the author reading her own books, and now associate the sound of her voice with her books. I've pre-ordered her next print book, even though I could read it free through kindle unlimited, and I plan to also purchase that as an audiobook, it and when it becomes available.

A Nice Way to Spend Some Time

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved that the Louise and Gareth were not the classically 'beautiful' people one encounters in most romance stories. I like the development and discoveries of the Louise and Gareth, and that, in the end, it was character that counted. I must say, however, that Lady Esme was my favorite person in the book.
I was initially wary of the author reading the book, but I much prefer a live narrator to a virtual voice. In the end, it felt more like a friend relating a story than reading a book.
