Wow
I highly recommend this book, especially if you have a loved one that suffers with this. It was beautifully written and touched my heart in so many ways. It was hard to read through because it affected me so deeply. I have battled depression most of my life, and I could see myself in everything that was discussed. Touching. Beautiful. Moving. It was a mirror
As someone who struggles daily with depression, and had his first suicide attempt while still in elementary school. This was a hauntingly familiar story. I'd gone into the book skeptic that it would down the darker alleys that lurk in the depressive's mind but Ms. Atkinson does a wonderful job. Anyone who cares about a depressive should listen to this to get an inside peek at what you may not even know about what is going through your loved one's head.
